We were very lucky to get a table yesterday evening without having booked, and had a fabulous dinner. Scallops followed by langoustine were beautifully fresh, expertly cooked and delicately flavoured. The main courses on the à la carte menu can be ordered as half portions which was perfect. Many of the diners looked to be of Japanese origin which speaks... More

We got the best meals we've had in Paris here, at this lovely Japanese-owned restaurant serving French classics, several with Japanese twists. My sweetbreads were superb, glazed in a wine sauce with truffles. Jeff had an amazingly good crab cake in a filo crust, then very tender beef cheeks.

Very simple appearance but extremely refined "cuisine" mixing French and Japanese tastes... Gorgeous and not pretentious... Service is also very good and very attentive although discrete. You have the possibility (rare in restaurants!) to order half portions which is great if you are not too hungry or if you want to test 2 main dishes... Was my first time there... More

We spotted this little restaurant amidst larger/smarter looking places near Rue St Honore and Place Vendome. (Rue Gomboust). We liked the menu and hoped we could get a table for Saturday dinner. There are seven tables and, fortunately, one was free. The menu is classic French with a touch of Japanese twist. We learned that the Japanese proprietor / chef,... More

At the beginning I thought it was a Japanese restaurant. What I really liked is the extreme attention to details, excellent service and quiet atmosphere. You can have half main course and try 2 different ones if you want. Everything was absolutely perfect.

This is not a Japanese restaurant as some reviewers write. It does not have a traditional Japanese menu. It is definitely French cuisine with a subtle Japanese influence. We came as a group of 4 and ordered starters, mains and dessert. The great thing about this restaurant is we can have half portions so we all had 2 half portions... More

It's now been nearly 25 years since my husband and I have been eating here, and it has never been less than superb. Each dish is sublime, prepared with reverence for the main ingredients and judicious use of seasoning. Prices are entirely fair, given the fine quality of the food and the work the chef puts into preparing it. Yes,... More

We visited this restaurant on the recommendation of my friend who is a frequent visitor. I felt cozy, finding it and opening its door. A kir royale framboise and a white wine were nice, but a red wine was a bit acidic. Food was wonderful, especially the starters: salad with confit of gizzards and terrine of foie gras. Saint-pierre sauté... More

I think this restaurant puts off some people because of the Japanese staff including the chef but the food is heavenly French with only a single dish claiming Japanese influence. The amuse bouche was a delightful herring melange on toast . We once again started off with a foie gras and a sauternes which is something we cannot be denied... More
