I loved the atmosphere of this restaurant! The decorations were so beautiful and unique. Also the food was delicious! I had the salmon carpaccio and the special of the day, which was veal and scalloped mashed potatoes. The scalloped mashed potatoes are amazing (you should definitely try them!!). My friends and I shared the chocolate mousse for dessert and it... More

We were in Pairs for a long weekend to celebrate my partners birthday. The exterior is so inviting. The interior is camp, but that os a good thing. The restaurant is pure theatre and nostalgia. The staff are perfect. relaxed and charming. The wine list is superb and the food menu equal. We both ate the steak which was a... More

I first visited Le Petit Prince more than thirty years ago and now, three owners later, it is better than ever. Consistency has always been a strong suit and I always look forward to seeing several old favorites on the menu as well as a few new additions. I visited twice last week, with a group of friends and in... More

I've eaten here at least 6 times over the last several years - and many other places in Paris. For sheer enjoyment of a dining experience it is tops on my list. I have always found the food excellent, the atmosphere comfortable and pleasant and the service very good. We have taken friends here, and recommended it to others who... More

Excellent food in a very nice and lovely atmosphere. But the service was very slow we were waiting an hour between courses. We, eleven people, had book a table at 19:30 pm and we had the deserts at 22:40 pm. I think they had to few staff on duty that evening.

I have been a customer of Le Petit Prince for over 21 years and recently visited the restaurant again, for a much looked forward to dinner, after a hiatus of some years. The first thing I noticed, is that the restaurant is now very popular and the window is festooned with stickers attesting to its acclaim. Therefore, it is absolutely... More

We love Le Petit Prince having started going there in the 90s and we were delighted to see that the décor still retained its original features on a recent return trip. It did seem though that they had crammed in more tables and the place felt crowded and over busy. As a result service was rushed (I think they only... More

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighbourhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
