We went out with a bunch of friends and everyone was happy with their selections as I recall. After living in Cote d' Ivoire for awhile, where frog legs were a standard evening meal, I was anxious to try them in Paris and they came perfectly pan fried in a lovely buttery garlic sauce. I could not have been happier... More

Wanted to find classic french bisrto 15 minutes walk from the hotel. Got recommendation from hotel concierge. Walked there around 17:00 and booked solo table at 19:00 when the dinner service begins. Created appetite with 2 hour walk around Paris and retourned for the dinner. Great service for solo party. Kir Royal as aperitif and for Starter. Glass of Bordeaux... More

I started with the Fois Gras which was quite good, it was terrine style. It was listed on the prix fixe menu but not ala carte, but the waiter said that I could order anything from the prix fixe and pay ala carte. I had the Ris de Veau (veal sweetbreads) that can be hit or miss. It came with... More

I was in the area and went to Le Petit Margery to lunch without any reservation and without having used 'La Fourchette', which would have granted me a much cheaper price. I decided foolishly to avoid the lunch menu and ate à la carte the scallops. For 29 euros I got 6 very small scallops and a lot of mashed... More

Went looking for a restaurant and found this within many. Had a very good salad with a toast with blue cheese, a nice fish (french so not so much spice), and nice glass of wine. Was about 48 euros, so not so bad, but not inexpensive.

Sweetbread was not well cooked, but excellent scallops and boar terrine. Fish was so-so (as usual in brasseries) and the egg brouillade with truffles a bit too heavy. Waiter needs anti-perspiring (sorry). Not very inventive cuisine but so many souvenirs.

I don't think they even like tourists very much, and I don't blame them after reading what some people write on here! The fact is, this is French "cuisine bourgeoise", which is not meant to be very creative or exciting! It's supposed to be reliable, which is what it is, and decent, which it is in abundance! Got this place on... More

We had a very unpleasant Christmas lunch at this establishment. Boiled, tasteless, sloppy vegetables without sauce was their 'vegetarian option' - despite reserving in advance, they "did not have ingredients" for more varied vegetarian dishes. Luke-warm turkey/chicken(?) with minced gelatinous mushrooms and stringy cold fois-gras formed part of their standard Christmas menu. 55 Euros per person for this 'magnificent' fare!... More

Excellent diner in a cosy atmosphere, with a friendly italian mad. One of the host of our table was vegeterian and the chef very helpful to fin a solution. But most important is the value for price, all included menu starter-main and dessert, coffee and wine for less than 45€ pp. Very good deal !

Le Petit Marguery restaurant in Paris' Port-Royal quarter has the soul of a traditional French neighbourhood restaurant of a century ago. The mirrors and columns, fresh flowers, the layers of white table linen, the long-aproned waiters in their waistcoats and bow ties, the dark rose colour scheme create a cosy, comfortable and quite smart milieu.
