Apparently this is where many Parisians love to eat ~ Michelin quality food without the huge price. The menu was really extensive and creative. I had an entire small chicken with amazing potatoes. I planned on eating here a lot more than once but I ran out of time. A MUST visit restaurant. I will definitely be back. Fabulous !!!

This was the worst food or service I have ever gotten in a restaurant. The waitress was ignorant, rude and not helpful whatsoever. It took us 45min to even place our order. She sold us bottled water instead of tap that we had asked for. When we requested butter or plates for our bread that was thrown on the table... More

After 10 charming days in Paris, We select this fantastic Le Comptoir as the best restaurant we visited during our vacation. from the appetizers to the deserts it was like a "one thousand nights" dream. The lobster bisque was perfect. The main dish... Pied de Cochon and some "Belle Porc", were the best. the wine and the desert were first... More

Four of us arrived at 7 pm on Sunday. We were seated immediately. Efficient wait staff, spoke English as needed. Sunday is à la carte. Three courses each, all superbly crafted. A delicious garlicky pâté de campagne came in a terrine dish for us to have as much as we all wanted, and they only billed us for one portion.... More

Had a lovely lunch here with family. We arrived around 2pm on a weekday in mid-April, miraculously no queue and we were seated on a pavement table straight away. Food was nice and everyone enjoyed their chosen dishes which were a bit more elevated than your typical brasserie lunch. I had the day's special of fish which came with a... More

Dinner was great and the next door bar which has the same owners is great too. We waited for 20 minutes for a table and it was worth it. Would definitely return.

We enjoyed a good lunch here. It's a busy spot with seating outside available. Prepare for some queues as this is a popular spot with locals.

We had a lovely lunch after waiting in line for about 20 minutes. It was a bit chilly but we sat outside because the wait for inside was even longer. My husband had the fois gras and the 'Os' bone marrow. The bone marrow was a bit undercooked and the server said this was because it was May 1st, a... More

Sublime flavors. Had the pork with stewed lentils and the cod with spring vegetables. Lovely server helped us with the menu. Go early to avoid the crowd 7:30 on.

Thank Susan R

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
