A nite to remember in Paris' wonderful spot and nice view. First time we're there for dinner on july '91, my wife's grandmother had dinner there in the 40's . Best duck ever, of course . French old elegant style . Jacket and tie'll be fine, but not mandatory . Impressive wine list . Expensive but not "outrageous".

A night to remember! My college friend and I celebrated our birthdays by indulging in the fine cuisine and experiencing the elegance of La Tour D'Argent. We took a taxi to the restaurant as it is in a busy area and were greeted at the door and led into a decorative waiting room. From there, we were escorted down an... More

This is one of the places you have to go you are in Paris. Come on, Queen Elizabeth, Emperor and Empress of Japan dined there. There is nothing to expect except exceptional! It is very expensive but they do offer a prix fixe lunch menu at 68 euros for a 3 course lunch. If you have a few bucks to... More

My girlfriend and I arrived a bit early but were shown up quickly and started our meal anyhow. We decided to go with the discovery menu and had the sommolier choose wines for us. The food was delicious, the wines perfectly matched, the service impeccable. The view was great and only got better as the night went on. We enjoyed... More

Elegance! Located just east of Notre-Dame on the left bank. The experience begins as you enter the door. You are cordially greeted and escorted to the second floor. The enormous windows in the dining room afford you an excellent view of Notre-Dame and the other beautiful buildings as well as the Seine. When making a reservation request a table by... More

We reserved at La Tour d'Argent for a special dinner during our trip to Paris. I was with my wife and two teenage kids. The place is a little stuffy because they make you wear a jacket, even for kids; which they loan you if you arrive without one. I can't complain about it because they let you know the... More

What I like most of this restaurant was the meringue icescream at the taste of rose, very particular, the list of wines is marvellous even though they obviously choose to have really good wines, so do not expect to spend less than 150 euro for a good bottle (even though I was able to find a white premier cru at... What a view! What a meal! This was a once in a lifetime experience that I am so glad I did not miss. My husband and I had lunch here today. Everything was excellent from start to finish. The wine list was unbelievable but fortunately the sommelier had ready suggestions for us. We did the lunch menu. I recommend the... More

This is one of the best restaurants in the world, certainly the best in Paris. Expect to spend Euro500+ for two persons for dinner. Your wallet may feel lighter, but you will feel magnificent. A little inconvenient to get to, the walk from the met can be 10+ minutes, not so convenient for ones partner in heels. I suggest a... More

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighbourhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighbourhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
