I am coming back here for may years and the quality never fell down. Good serviice, quick reliable brsserie stile. Old and picturesque decoration. Some dishes are classics like a "cote de veau de tradition", le filet de bar avec du riz sauvage, the fresh and delichions oisters and other sea food. I will persist coming back here - if... More

Quick drinks outside. Service was friendly and prompt. Good value too. A great spot to sample some nice wines and watch the world go by.

I have been eating here since 2007. The place breathes of history and tradition But the personal is very French, but nice, jokes a lot. Nice, stable, kitchen, always well prepared food.

This is the first restaurant we dropped into in the area on a few day vacation. The staff are super attendant and very friendly. The menu is a little eclectic - my friend had terrine and then boeuf in Shallot/red wine, I had black pudding in a cider vinegar sauce and the same main meal. Each could have done with... More

Served by M. Michel, we feasted on escargot, Belon oysters and frisee salad. What a wonderful lunch, and just a short walk from our hotel.

I learned that, since 1911, La Rotonde is one of the mythical places of the district of Montparnasse.During the interwar period, painters and surrealists succeeded one another. Today, it is the filmmakers and the artists who feel well. In fact everyone appreciates the place for its location, but also for its gastronomy. We went there for dinner and we got... More

Valentines Day in Paris? Oh yes it`s fun and its near my wife`s birthday. When I asked her what she would like for her birthday I was thrilled with her response.Having previously eaten at Coupole, Dome, Select and Lilas it seemed that it was time to try La Rotonde on Feb 14th. BIG MISTAKE--it was crowded, fixed menu and "fixed" prix.... More

Upon entering, the host was welcoming and polite however the server and manager did not deliver reasonable hospitality for many reasons. The menu offers PRIME STEAK, however this is far from the truth. I was served a poorly prepared flank steak. I asked the waiter what cut of prime steak was on the menu, and the response was vague, "prime".... More

Neighbourhood Profile
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
