Prices may appear steep for a place that looks more like a bistro than a palace, and for this area of town. However, it's worth it, for the food is really very good. The herrings are amazing. As a main course, the sole is a great bet, with delicious accompaniments.

The owner/kook welcomes you, serves you, jokes with you. Everything of good, atmosphere, food, ambiance. Just the wine as I suggested was over time. Good place!

Very casual but charming ambiance. Welcomed by the engaging and multilingual owner/chef (who was from Copenhagen originally and has Stateside connections as well). The daily menu was very interesting but I opted for the smoked salmon (superb) and was offered a tasting of the herring/capers and berries as well. The wine choices were very good and quite well priced. For... More

We have been going there for three years now and it is always the same pleasure to enjoy the Christmas menu. Every thing is just very good. Service is perfect. The boss is welcoming without overdoing it. Do not miss the rice pudding with crunchy almonds and berries.

My partner and I enjoyed top class food and service in this delightful, intimate Danish restaurant. We chose the set menu with a carafe of Chardonnay - everything we tried was delicious, we practically licked our plates. The friendliness and welcome we received from the proprietor and rest of the staff was unparalleled - if this is anything to go... More

Wonderful food, excellent service and beautiful wine. What more could you ask for! The Danish blue cheese from Bonholm was just perfect. I would heartily recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Paris.

Enjoyed the set menu on a Thursday evening. Very friendly owner of the restaurant, brilliant service. The food was excellent - all superbly cooked, particularly the main course that evening - snapper.

Fantastic service, food, wine and atmosphere. We were recommended to take a lunch here, and it really fulfilled our expectations. The food and wine, chosen by the chef, was lovely. The service was also very good. We really had the feeling of being guests, not only clients, in this restaurant. At paytime, the bill was also reasonable. We highly recommend... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
