Love this place each time I go to Paris this is one of my favourite and a must eating place for me. Love the moroccan tea and all the sweat meats and best of all the way the lamb and chicken is cooked it just melts in your mouth and always comes with complimentary couscous and tomato base soup which... I took my daughter and her friend for dinner on a sunday night. We ate outside as the weather was excellent and had a delicious couscous served with friendly panache by our waiter. We'll be back.

Was amazed there was such a grand masjid(mosque) in the middle of Paris, with a beautiful garden with date palms, banana plants and other exotic flowers. Beautiful architecture with lovely Islamic decorations. Separate praying facilities available for men and women. Also has nice restaurant where you can eat middle Eastern cuisine or just have tea and dessert.

I came for a quick light lunch. The service was quite slow but that said, it was teaming both inside, which has very attractive Moroccan tiles and decor and outside on the terrace with tiling and fig trees. I felt it was quite expensive for what I had, 2 small starters with water was 19Eu. I went to the toilets... More

This was my best Moroccan food. Had mint tea before the food, that was awesome. Food preparation took good time, around 45 minutes, but it worth the wait. Restaurant ambience is quite unique, gives a feeling of Moroccan culture. There portion size is quite big and 2 dishes were enough for 3 of us. I will surely visit again when... More

What strikes you when you first encounter is the ambience and decor. And you just blend into the place. Staff is friendly and very attentive. The tables are large brass plates with detailed carvings. Ample choice for vegetarians too. The flavours are subtle and bring the best of the ingredients. Definitely worth repeat visit

Officially, the restaurant is open from 1pm, but local advice to come even earlier as after about 4pm on Saturday we found only two dishes available from big menu - couscous with chicken and couscous with lamb. Both were delicious with couscous and vegetables with stock served separately and meat too. You will need to mix all of that as... More

Lovely relaxed North African atmosphere. Friendly staff. Rustic dishes in rustic dishes, and nothing wrong with that. They are warming and tasty too. The servings are large, so a couple of starters and one main would be ample for many couples. The Mosquee is a pleasant stroll through the Jardin des Plantes from the interesting displays at the Institute du... More

Went on a quiet Thursday night, no problems with service whatsoever, despite my awful 10-word french vocab. The soup was great, the tagines we had (lamb and aubergines, lamb and peppers) were really flavoursome and very filling. Would definitely go again if back in Paris.

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighbourhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
