This small restaurant is frequented by locals and those lucky enough to have found it by word of mouth. The food is superb all cooked by the owner. This was simply the best meal we had in Paris.

Great food with a great view of the opera house right across the street. We also highly recommend the duck, mashed potatoes and fries.

Small, warm, charming... and delicious food! The artichoke is given the most wonderful presentation, and is served with Sauce Gribiche: a terrific pairing. A special of three different sautéed mushrooms was just perfect. Salmon was crisp on the bottom, perfectly cooked and silky smooth in the mouth. My craving for calve's liver was sated with the best example I've ever... More

I had dinner at this restaurant with my friend who had remembered it from a trip 5 years earlier. We enjoyed a great 3 course meal cooked by the owner himself. The food quality was very excellent and I would highly recommend.

Authentic French cuisine by your personal chef. I can strongly recommend the escalope de veau Normandie with a Languedoc recommended by himself. Beware compliments, as if he would serve anything but the best!

This has a replaced a pleasant little place that had "cuisine du Sud-Ouest." Same small, pleasant atmosphere, nicely spruced up, with _much_ finer cooking--classic French, not particularly "sud-Ouest"--for similar, relatively low prices.

We booked a table and there were 3 nationalities among us. For the English the owner went through the menu with us and translated what we didn't know but we made the effort to talk to him using our limited French. Wine was good and food was excellent and we had some good banter with the owner. What impressed us... More

We needed a quick bite to eat before attending a ballet at L'Opera Garnier. We enjoyed delicious bread, vegetable soup and drinks while seated next to a window with a view of the beautiful opera house. The service was fast and the waiter was very attentive.

Stopped here before shopping at Galeries Lafayette, and after visiting L'Opera Garnier for lunch. Service was friendly and attentive, great view of L'Opera, food came out fast and was excellent. I can only imagine their dinners are equally as good. This is definitely the place we would return when we come back, and I highly recommend it.

Although we were the only ones there for lunch, we were highly entertained by the hilarious waiter, entranced by the rich food cooked in cream (eggs for one, veal with mushrooms for the other) in a miniscule kitchen, followed it with a very crisp perfectly dressed green salad, and washed it all down with a half full bottle of crisp... Staying in Montmartre

Neighbourhood Profile
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colours, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
