Booked in last minute on Fork. Got the worst seats but to be expected! The service and the food were fantastic, the ambiance incredible with the big open fire and funky decor. Top class but not stuffy. Wine suggestions were top notch and all our meals outstanding.

Delicious memory of the cold médaillons de lotte firmly prepared on a bed of cold green sauce, and for main the small and tender cuts of jarret de veau à la broche, coupled with a spinach and mushrooms gratinée type of accompaniment! My guest had the volaille fermière du Maine with tender leeks. Desserts also nicely presented in round glass... More

Staff we unfriendly, unhelpful and short with us when we asked for more drinks and cutlery. First drinks ordered did not arrive and we had to ask 2-3 times mores to remind them. Food portions were wholly inadequate. The 2 female waitresses were unfortunately rude, poorly trained and negligent. There was a male waiter who was very helpful and the... More

Walked by this place and decided to make a reservation. It was so fantastic we returned a second night. Just blocks from the Seine, on a side street, the main dining section was centered by a wood-burning fire. Them meal began with s plate of sample appetizers. The fixed-price menu included an appetizer, main course with a side dish,. and... More

When in Paris, you must visit AMA. Hidden on a little side street, this gem attracts mostly French crowds, but is worth the visit. The menu appears rather simple, but the proteins are prepared perfectly with delicious traditional sides and amazing deserts. You truly cannot go wrong with anything on this menu, but the spit roasted chicken and fish of... More

Enjoyed a lovely business dinner at , at Atelier Maitre Albert last month. We had a private dining room with windows facing both the street and main dining room/wine cellar. Lovely starter of articoke veloute in a pitcher poured tablside by wait staff. My main was beef rib Charolaise cooked to perfection on woodfired ovens. For dessert I had the... More

A disappointing experience. I highlighted the poor consistency of my fish dish (served a la plancha) and it was returned marginally re-grilled with no comment and no follow up when I left it uneaten. An American colleague with the same dish commented that the texture of the fish was similar to jello! The meat dishes ordered by others were very... More

A highly contemporary rôtisserie in the heart of old Paris

A log fire flickering within a vast stone fireplace; meat, poultry and fish sizzling in the rôtisserie; around sparkling tables of grey slate guests are seated in the midst of this remarkable spectacle, where roasted duck breasts, monkfish tails and pork ribs are served straight from the spit to the plate. The tone is set: generous plates, first-rate produce and authentic cooking.

After remodelling the interior of Restaurant Guy Savoy, Jean-Michel Wilmotte set to work here: austere décor, the finest materials, intimate spaces.

Neighbourhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine.
