On our hotel's recommendation my wife and I tried this cosy restaurant and were greatly pleased. Our food was creatively prepared to perfection of taste qnd quantity. The charming waiter was attentive and contributed to the fine atmosphere. prix fixe, but not exessively high priced.

Have eaten at this restaurant many times over the years on our visits to Paris. The food is good, but can be a little rich. The staff have always been helpful and friendly. On this visit we had a table on the terrace and all...More

Tucked away on a quiet pedestrianised area, this is a welcoming bistro with a small area of seating outside. The staff are superb with the front of house providing a friendly welcome. Our waiter spoke perfect English without a trace of even an accent. (What...More

Well prepared food. Great lobster macaroni, steaks are good and vegetarian options. Aps are excellent, cucumber gazpacho, grilled foie gras panini and good asparagus with egg. Desserts are OK. Wine list is a cut above with good price points. Service is accommodating, humorous and professional.

we were hosted on the 1st floor wich I recommend for busines dinner. All guests were pleased with the food. The wine card was bigger than the food menu, it makes it very fenchy :-) They serve different kind of absinthe following a ritual, recommended!

Recently went to this cafe for dinner. It was packed but we managed to get a seat on the patio. The food was excellent: fois gras, the duck breast with pokenta and asparagus salad. The service was ok, but not overly friendly or helpful. I...More

We visited this spot on our last night in Paris and it was an easy walk from our hotel near the Opera Garnier. It's in a cozy neighborhood nook with a few other brasseries. Two men, who both spoke decent english, split up serving responsibilities...More

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel manager and we weren't disappointed. The waiter showed us to a table promptly and spoke excellent English. He showed us the specials for the day, but we couldn't go past the Burgundy-style small snails. They were amazing! I...More

Response from RostangPereFilles | Property representative |
Hello, we won't have a special menu for New Years Eve. It will be our usual « à la carte » menu with some specials on the blackboard. Best regards.

L'Absinthe is a "bistrot de cuisinier", a cooks' bistrot, firmly modern. The menu is entirely created, tested and produced in the restaurant's kitchen. Every single task from the slicing of vegetables to the seasoning of sauces including the filleting of fish, is executed in situ from A to Z. Each dish conveys the creative family spirit at the rate of the seasons and inspired by their different journeys around the world.
The restaurant's interior design will also make you feel this travelling and dynamic atmosphere: you will eat in setting which is a mix between a typical Parisian bistrot and a loft in New York.
