As husband and I were staying in an apartment just down the street on Rue du Cherche-Midi, this was the perfect spot for dinner on our first night in Paris this year. All of the food was delicious. For starters, I selected the terrine de...More

Another little neighborhood gem as recommended by our travel agent who always visits this restaurant while in Paris. Wonderful food: good classic French bistro with exceptional service. Plan ahead for a reservation. Everyone else we met in the restaurant has Chez Dumonet on their "do...More

My wife and I ate here for our 24th wedding anniversary and weren't disappointed. It's a place to get a taste of classic Paris. This is an old restaurant and it shows its vintage in many ways, from the brass, wood and mirrored decor to...More

Surely the ultimate Paris bistro steeped in that 'je ne sais quoi' of Parisian atmospheres. Exceptionally warm and friendly people serving up enormous portions such as the superb Cote de Boeuf Bearnaise 'demi' easily enough for two and then some and finishing off with their...More

Table for four, seated promptly, given menus but no carte du vin...needed to ask repeatedly before the wine list was presented. Excellent starters: foie gras and pate de compagne, wines arrived, all seemingly going well. But, it started to go pear-shaped when no clean glasses...More

Went for dinner with friends. First the good, foie gras, terrine, and Grand Marinetti Soufflé. The bad, almost everything else. The worst service I've experienced in Paris. Had to beg for wine glasses with our second bottle, one person's main course did not arrive until...More

This is a first class French restaurant. Best confit I've ever had. Service is flawless. You need a reservation. Locals fill this perfect little restaurant.

In reality the food was average. The bœuf bourguignon was scrumptious but the duck confit was really dry. What really left a bad taste in our mouths was our experience with the very pricey wine list. The waiter brought over a bottle of Bordeaux which...More

Went here for dinner on our last of 9 days in Paris. Was recommended by a local and is very popular . Service was attentive and our beef dishes were very good.

Came here because of word of mouth that the Duck Confit never disappoints. Since I've never had that dish but I've had disappointing greasy duck in my life I wanted " the best in Paris". It was very good. The potatoes cooked in duck fat...More

In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic
and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is
dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops,
ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants.
Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine
art school and small museums hide in unassuming
squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the
oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented

Most DEFINITELY make a reservation! I'm ALWAYS pretty dressed up when I go to dinner in Paris and this IS a nice restaurant but you'll see every sort of dress now which, personally, doesn't speak well for Americans IMHO. My... More

The French dress up more than West Coast Americans but I would agree that slacks and a shirt is okay. No jacket necessary.
