Picked this place for convenience of location, but the meal was fantastic - wines extremely well paired. Most of all the service was extraordinary - absolutely the right balance. Amazing evening of elegance!

Our group of 6 had the chefs 9 course tasting menu and what a surprise! The courses were well balanced and the second one with lobster was a 3 star course. All the other courses were 2 star. We grilled our waiter for the ingredients and he came back with what they were. The Brill fish served is a lesser... More

We ordered the 5-course menu, which at 75 euros (tout compris) was an excellent value. Every dish was memorable. The chef has excellent technique, especially excelling in sauces. That enables him to make his dishes a little experimental and playful, and fun - as well as delicious. The room is tranquil and beautiful. Service is cordial and very attentive. If... More

We had the 9 course dinner. The food was great and interesting. Service was excellent - each dish was explained in details. Ambiance - It was very quiet even though we were there Friday night. Overall excellent restaurant and great value.

For some reason I have never before reviewed Hiramatsu although I have been there too many times to count over the last six years. It's one of my two favorite places for fine dining in Paris. The chef combines traditional French cuisine with Japanese artistry in a truly magical culinary experience. Lunch is a particularly great deal, although the menu... More

One of my favorite higher end restaurants in Paris--but and incredible value in this category. The food, ambiance, service and wine are exceptional. I prefer Hiramatsu to many of the 3-star restaurants in Paris. Food: Excellent. We had the five course -- which is really a seven course and all courses were exceptional. Your real decision is meat or fish... More

This is one of the best kept secrets in Paris , and one can also tell from all the reviews as well , but nevertheless... , one of THE "Most" quiet and supeeerb restaurants in Paris . They are , first of all , "so Very Polite" !!! , the Chef ( such a modest and Dignified person ! )... More

The best meal I have ever had, bar none and the first Michelin star awarded to a Japanese Chef/Owner is quite obviously well deserved. And while each meal is a unique selection from a variety of chef specialties made for the handful of tables that eat dinner at Hiramatsu each night - I can honestly say I will never forget... More

Meticulous service in a formal but modern dinning room. High Level cooking, although we did not find it to be exceptional or highly original [we heard that the 9 course "Surprise Menu" - which we did not have - could be more satisfying]. Overall: Refined fine dining. Recommended.

Staying in Trocadero

Neighbourhood Profile
Trocadero
This is the neighbourhood of grand and impressive Haussmann-designed apartments and buildings. National museums overlook the Eiffel Tower and embassies fill the avenues and streets. Locals head to the butcher, florist, or bakery on their daily rounds amidst luxury and splendour, all with a view over Paris and its most famous tower. Snuggled in between the grand buildings are small art galleries and homes of historical significance. With a rich legacy from 19th century politics, art, and architecture, you can’t help but be reminded of the belle époque, the Universal Exhibitions and the nobility that have frequented and shaped these streets.
