Fauchon is a French gourmet food and delicatessen company with a longstanding tradition. The Frauchon brand is known all over the world for its luxury food products. I was very impressed by the fine food store at Place de la Madeleine in Paris's 8th arrondissement. It was a highlight to shop there.

Definitely recommend it as a stop for tourists! Staff is friendly and shop has a variety of amazing pastries, chocolates, and other house made delights! Interior is trendy and very fancy, I would go again!

In addition to their retail outlets in Place de la Madeleine, Fauchon offers a lovely cafeteria style tea room. Here you can enjoy a quiet breakfast of pastries, coffee, tea, and juice. All come with Fauchon's high level of quality and 5 star service.

Having seen this place recommended by Paul Hollywood (TV Chef) we thought we had to try it out, We are so glad we did. We tried several places while in Paris and this was by far the best, not the cheapest mind you but worth the money as far as we are concerned. They have two places one which is... More

Excellent sweets. It's a little annoying that they force you to go upstairs to check out the cheeses, wines, etc. Don't get me wrong...love that but I'm coming to Fauchon for the sweets. Efficient service even when busy...worth the small indulgence!

A Fauchon visit is a must for us in Paris. Gorgeous eclairs everytime. Paris-Brest is always a treat and loved the caramel eclair this visit also, pain au chocolats nice too and a steal at 2€. Counting down to the next time already.

The best teas ever. Go upstair and enjoy a croissant and other viennoiseries. And have a cup of tea, of course. Then visit Saint Madeleine's church,

Heard only good things and went in search for Fauchon. My girls love macaroons and we heard this was the place to go. So worth everything on this trip. The macaroons were amazing to go and we even stayed for a little dessert.

LOCATION I did not favor the location. As a tourist to Paris, it seemed a bit out of the way from other attractions. However, I am happy I made the hike. DECOR Beautiful displays! Just the feel of being in the shop gives you a bit of nostalgia. The desserts are absolutely gorgeous. Definitely a plethora a great gift options.... More

Delicious croissants and coffee for breakfast. Also bought a box of a dozen assorted macarons to take home. Fantastic place. Not to be missed!

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
