like most Persian restaurants, seating it tight. Food was good. The pastry platter is a must try. They bring all sort of Moroccan pastries in a very large platter and you get to choose the one you like. Wine selection was so so as compared to other places in Paris.

Great place to have a decent couscous in Paris in a fun environment. Service is quick and efficient. Always crowded.

The portions in this restaurant are amazingly big and the quality of the food is really great compared with the standard that we got in London. My fiancé had a cous cous that she couldn't even finish it as it was very large, but it was very nice and tasty. I ordered a steak that was big as well, with... More

I dined here during fashion week so the climate was very full and chaotic but the owner took care of us from beginning to end in a splendid way. The food ranges from French to Moroccan cous cous good and classic in its genre. Very fun atmosphere with special sweets at the end. It won't be the expectations of many... More

It is one of the most famous restaurants in Paris for having a decent couscous... people normally complain because: no credit cards are accepted; it's crowded; the service is not outstanding ... however, such complains fail to acknowledge that the price is fair (not to say fairly exceptional for being in Le Marais), the food comes quickly and the quality... You just cant beat the atmosphere at this local and tourist favorite. I recommend the couscous, but stay away from the regular meat dishes. I tried the steak au poivre and it was not good for many reasons. The traditiknal couscous in the busy bistro-like atmosphere is great for an evening out!

Singularly one of the most offensive and uncomfortable dining experiences I have ever had. We came early and we're seated smoothly. But then a large party came and was seated next to us and the waiter started to hustle us to leave halfway through our dinner, so that the large party could have our table too. He then took our... Friends told us about this Moroccan restaurant and we finally had the chance to try it! Everything was excellent, the cous-cous so delicious, the lamb, the chicken, all very genuine and fresh. After 9 is packed so reserve! Nice old French atmosphere, very good service.

Not bad, but there is better couscous elsewhere. Very popular, so it doesn't seem to be a problem for them.

I'd read that this was a must go-to place in the neighborhood, and it was packed on a Monday night. Tables were so close together that we had to shift our table to the side when the people sitting next to us wanted to leave/arrive. Come here for the couscous We chose the Merguez sausages, which were good. The couscous... More

Staying in Le Marais

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendour. This neighbourhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
