My wife and I both ordered the duck; loved the glazed apricots - it complemented the duck extremely well. I would have liked the duck rarer, but still enjoyed it. My kids both had frites and beef - I thought 29 Euro per kid plate was on the high side, but happy to help the restaurant industry rebound. Service was outstanding - very engaging.

Uncomplicated menu really well prepared. Our daughter and I ordered the turbot for the main - very good. My husband was delighted with the sea bream.
My dessert was a stand out - see pic. It was an intense berry gelato surrounded by meringue on all sides and fresh cream. The combination of smooth (cream), crisp, cold, sweet and berry tang was enough to make me want to eat another immediately (I refrained).
The service was attentive. Slightly more expensive than comparable establishments.

We had a blank cheque book and could have went anywhere for my wife's 40th but we hate pretensous service. We are super glad we choose AU 41 Penthievre, the owner was lovely, the service impeccable and the food delicious. Congratulations to Alexander, Rudi and the chef's. We had a brilliant night!!

Out strolling and walked by. Noticed the award plaque on the door. Asked to see a menu and decided this was where we needed to eat. The menu was creative the staff was wonderful. The quality of food was superior. Would definitely go back. Give it a try and decide for yourself. I don’t think you will be disappointed.

Booked this place as we were nearby and there was a discount on the app we were using. I have to say it is really one of the best restaurants we have been to in Paris.
First of all, Parisians are not known for their manners. However the staff in this restaurant were top notched. They were extremely polite and enthusiastic and answered our questions in perfect English!
We shared the starters and desserts between the 2 of us and the food were nicely served in 2 plates, each of which looked like a single serving in itself! For the mains, I had the duck which was fantastic and cooked just nice!
Sure the prices are not cheap but for the food and service it was definitely worth it and I would not hesitate to come back in the future!!

We enjoyed dinner at Au 41 Penthievre. The service was excellent. Obviously, a first-class chef in the kitchen because the food is delicious. We enjoyed the radish with crab as entrees and the john dory was a perfect main course. Good wine recommendations. Certainly worth a visit.

There is a lot to like about this restaurant. The food is excellent. There are some interesting wines to choose from and the maitre d' is charming. The dining area is very comfortable and there is outside seating for warmer days. Given its location, I think it is best to go at lunchtime if you want a bit of atmosphere. I would have awarded 5 stars but sadly we were the only diners in the restaurant on the night we dined here and charming though the service was, we do like a bit of ambience.

Au 41 is absolutely fab - immaculate service (utterly flawless) and a very capable kitchen sum up this little place in the 8e. We had a super meal of fois gras poelee, a “carbonara” which was actually poached eggs over calamari rather than pasta, cod on beans and chorizo, veal filet cooked perfectly pink and two supremely executed desserts (Mille Feuilles and a chocolate molten surprise) this is a highly competent kitchen with flawless technical execution. Seriously, good value with impeccable service, will definitely return and thank you for a memorable Paris evening.

We like to eat here once a year when we visit Paris. The restaurant is modern and fresh in décor, though in summer it could use more AC. It is a busy lunch spot, but quieter for supper. The server was new to us this time, but friendly and efficient in his work. The kitchen produces top quality food which is why we return. We again brought guests with us who were new to this restaurant and they too enjoyed their meals. We will continue to return.

A smallish place with tastefully modern decor, this restaurant is also known as Bistro le
Valentino. The food is exceptional and the prices are quite reasonable. Everything from appetizers to desserts is beautifully prepared and plated and the staff really cares about guests' comfort and satisfaction. This place is an off-the-beaten-path gem.

This is the 3rd time that I have dined at this restaurant. It never disappoints. Took friends that were visiting Paris for the first time for our meal before returning home and enjoyed sharing perfectly prepared duck, sea bass, and a steak for two. Can't say enough about this gem of a restaurant. My favorite in all of France!

This is a very good restaurant, run by very young people, very atentive and helfull. We loved the place, is very small. The starters are very good and some innovative. A place to go at not spend a fortune. Prices are very reasonable. If you go for lunch make a reservation. Always full.

We were absolutely spoilt going to this wonderful French restaurant. We were served a six course, degustation meal with matching wines at a very reasonable price. The waiters explained each course and why the wine went with the food in excellent English. The food was fresh and vibrant. This is a must try restaurant.
