Recommended by a local bar keep, this is a local, fresh, authentic experience. The duck was exquisitely cooked and the veal is tasty. It is not flash, just good. Hospitality is first class, genuine and expect a chat with some friendly Parisiennes who drop in and prop up the bar.

Had a surprisingly good meal in a local restaurant. You need to take a chance on this one and go in even if it's not busy. Everything was explained to us in English and it turned out great. A great Cocotte to start with and the veal and duck dishes with plenty of veg and salad were very tasty and... More

Poor us! We walked in to this "café" and asked for - coffee. We were literally barked at and told to leave. Boycott until they improve their manners. We were not in a concentration camp!

A little restaurant which is very quaint and full of charm. The menu is quite extensive but we found our food to be satisfactory but not more. The service was prompt, efficient and very friendly. Prices were most reasonable

After looking for a new place to eat a typical french meal in the 1st Arrondissement, we came across this small establishment, one of the last vestiges of true French food in the area (lots of Japanese and Asian fare). The gentleman that waited on us was helpful with the menu and the wine selection and he spoke English very... More

I decided to go back and review some of my all time favorite places. This was from a visit in 2012. We had not planned on eating here. We were walking past and we mesmerized by the bright red mechanical slicing machine in the window being operated by a beautiful and skilled woman. She waved, we waved back, and moved... More

This used to be our favourite spot in Paris. How sad to see an arrogant owner(?) turn it into nothing. We were so badly served, the white wine wasn't chilled, the tapas were bad and we left sure to not coming back in the next ten years. Arrogance will not fill your restaurant!

We found Aux Bon Crus by chance after we ate (and had a very disappointing dining experience) at nearby Le Grand Colbert. Aux Bon Crus turned the night around for us and helped us end our night with a more positive experience! It is a cozy, intimate wine bar- and had a friendly and helpful bartender (who spoke English). We... More

Have eaten at Aux Bons Crus on numerous occasions, and it is perfect each time. I first went here with a Parisian friend of mine, and was wowed by the quality and flavor. That said, it is 100% french menu, although occasionally, there is a waiter who speaks English. The upper dining room is barely tall enough for me to... More
