The reviews about this place are mixed from 5 stars to one star my opinion is , pretty yes but that's about it . To be truly romantic a restaurant can't be just pretty it's more then that it's about the whole experience , and on other elements much improvement is needed . Now for the service the waiter himself... More

A group of us booked in advance the restaurant and GF was mentioned when we booked. I was shocked to have boiled chicken with plain rice and a bit of celery and carrot... Completely plain ..when my original order was chicken with truffle!. Had to ask for mustard ...and the piece de resistance was the dessert with only fruit salad..... More

We were looking for a top class restaurant, intend to visit La Tour d'Argent but as we had only free evening we were concern about dress code and while surf the web we found recommendation for 1728. Although we enjoy our dinner we think that it is not exceptional and expensive for the quality served.

Very nice restaurant. The food is delicious, mixing tradition and innovation. Nice place to eat, not that expensive compared to some other "grand restaurants".

The tasting menu with paired wines was not only delicious but reasonably priced. The restaurant cannot be faulted for its decor or food. Things were splendid.

My bf is french however I don't speak a word and they explained the menu in English to me....after a while my bf was over translating. The... More
