Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Took my teenager here for breakfast during a senior trip to Paris. It was a beautiful spot, and the pastries were outstanding. However, it was pricey compared to other places. The waiter provided service that was just OK (definitely not in line with what I...would have expected from the look and cost of the place), but I still wanted to leave some kind of tip. However, the waiter became rude when I tried to add it to my card payment instead of giving him cash. I wouldn't go back here for a meal, but we did return to buy macarons from the shop and loved them.More

Food was decent. Small portions. Bad and very slow service. Some waiters were rude and some were civil. Not worth the price.

Went to the shop to get a box of macaroons. They were excellent and each flavor was subtle without being over powering. Nice

Laduree Paris Champs Elyees was the most disappointing part of our week and a half trip to Germany and Paris. We made a Dessert Teatime reservation back in March for our late May visit as soon as time slots came open. We showed up to...the restaurant before our 13:00 reservation only to learn that they were no longer doing Teatime at this time and they gave us the option to come back at 15:00 if we wanted to still do this. We had planned our day around the 13:00 time, so coming back later wasn’t an option. I asked the host why they didn’t bother to email me to share this change so that we were aware and could make different plans and I was met with a blank stare. The host did offer they could seat us still at our original reservation time, but we’d have to order off the regular or bunch menus which we decided to do. The decor in the restaurant was absolutely beautiful. The food was average. Paying $32 Euro for a hamburger I expected it to be the best I ever had and it was average at best. The entire time it seemed like we were a bother to our waiter and at best it was a burden for him to come to our table to take our order and then take our dessert order. We tried their famous Macarons and weren’t quite sure what the buzz was about. They tasted about the same as store bought ones we could buy back home. Save you money, not worth the hype. If you do decided to try this place don’t count on the reservation you make is the reservation you’ll have when you get there.More

Over-rated! Our first time, we stopped for an afternoon snack since it was raining. We had coffee, tea, and hot chocolate, of course macaroons in their out door cafe just in front of the actual restaurant. That was OK experience, we all enjoyed our drinks...and snack although the waiter serving us was a bit out of it to put it nicely but some people have a bad day so we just let it go. Our second visit, we want to try breakfast inside the restaurant. We came in at 10am, perfect time no wait we were seated right away in their nicely decorated room upstairs. Very nice! so we're off to a great start and looking forward to a nice breakfast. We placed our order, drinks pastries with allergies and all our waiter did not write anything. OK food came...half of what we order was wrong! coffee did not have the oat milk with vanilla, earl Grey tea instead of English breakfast, I got the caramel french toast instead of lemon. These are not cheap drinks at €15. So he came back corrected them but at the end we all ate at different times, my french toast came when everyone was done eating. Very disappointing experience.More

Location is good, however the service is very bad and I’d say rude - went there for breakfast, the deliver the food and coffee both late and cold - and in the opposite order - like you get the coffee at room temperature then the...Omelet then the orange juice And when you ask for hot coffee, the waiter answers in a very rude way that you should have said that from the beginning as if it’s ok to get coffee at room temperature The cheque took 30 min and 4 times to ask forMore

We visited Ladurée on 75 Av. des Champs-Élysées in August 2023, during our tour in Paris. Ladurée was listed in all Paris guides as #1 macaroons place and it turned out to be the one! Macaroons were super fresh, soft, and melting in the mouth....They were expensive but were certainly worth it! Ladurée is a must try!More

They make you stand in line, serve you a cold hot chocolate, give you no place to sit inside and you are supposed to thrilled as its world famous 🤦🏽‍♂️ Overrated, nothing great and a huge waste of your money. This place should be history...like it is. There are many many other places that will serve you everything they make for a cheaper prince and better quality.More

I went to Ladurre in May 2024 with my brother. Arriving at the table the first thing I see is a dirty table, the staff hadn’t changed the tablecloth after the other customers left (photos attached). The food was good, but service was bad. We...had to wait for ages until the waiter came to our table and the service was slow. After I asked for the bill the waiter came to remove the plates and cups, but he also removed the glass of water that I was drinking as well my bottle of water that still had one quarter of it. I even asked him to get it back to me, but he either ignored or didn’t pay attention. The staff even had the audacity to ask for a tip. I went with one other person and the bill was 71 euros. When you pay 14 euros for a piece of cake you expect the table to be clean and the service do be good. If you’re considering coming, reconsider. You should go to Angelina, that has a much better service and where I had no bad experience.More

We visited both the restaurant and the boutique. The food and dessert were very good and the macaron was awesome. The only drawback was the service at the restaurant was very slow and in a restaurant like Laduree it should not happen.

This location is absolutely beautiful. You can get these macarons just about anywhere but if you are going to pay 2.80 euro each for them, you might as well sit and see the grandeur! The macarons were absolutely delicious! The hot chocolate was soooo rich!!!...Enjoy the views!More

After spending the day on the Champs-Élysées we stopped in here to enjoy the epitome of a French roadside Café, for tea and treats. This is probably the most famous and better of the patisseries in the area. The staff was friendly, the views of...the Champs-Élysées were interesting and great for people watching. The menu has all the typical French Café items, but they are an amazing bakery, so get something special!More

I am a fan of croissants from Ladurée New York, and now I have the chance to try it from the main one. There was no regular croissant available at the time, so I opted for a croissant aux noix. The croissant was a bit...sweet for my taste, but overall, it was delicious.More

Came here today was not impressed to be honest initially to have a coffee and macaroons in the end decided to have lunch there instead. The setting is lovely. However the food on the other hand was not that great. We had the chicken burger...and fries. I didn’t rate the burger at all and as for the fries they were not very hot and they looked like they were at the end of an empty pack where they were small bits that had been served. You would think a place like LADUREE would not serve food like that it looked very poor, it was like have the crumbs left in a crisp packet! Not worth the money it’s just the name really and they are really known for macaroons rather than food as such. Don’t waste your money!More

Came for High Tea with my 16 years old at 5 PM. She loves macarons. I expected the whole experience to be tacky as I had heard of the fake decor and heightened expectations. In the end, I was pleasantly surprised. We had reservations so...bypassed the line to be seated upstairs right away. We had an OK table, but we could hear the pianist which was great. She was really good and really added to the experience. Our server was initally great. My review is down from a 5 because he opted change our macaron selection telling us that there was no more of those kinds, but not asking us which kind we wanted as replacements; and because he disappeared. At some point, I had to flag someone else to bring us our bill, he had been gone for about 45 minutes. The food was good. I had the champagne and Marie-Antoinette tea; my daughter had a fruity tea as she finds hot chocolate in Paris too rich. The sandwiches were really good, and the macarons so fresh! We also enjoyed trying the Eugenie. The big piece of cake was delicious, but very sweet. She had lemon; and something with raspberries for me. Both were great. We had a really good experience.More
