Super quaint place. It plunges you into a Paris of yesteryear. Very kind and extremely helpful staff, note not only the fact that they spoke that Italian that was enough to understand each other and have a small conversation. They guided us in the choice of super delicious typical dishes (such as onion soup). Normal price in Paris. The only drawback is the slightly dirty floor, which is noticeable if you go to Paris in winter and wear long coats that once laid on the chair touch the ground. Let's say that having gone there on a Saturday at the end of the day it can also fit.

Typical Parisian bistro classified for its exceptional belle époque decor made of earthenware tiles. Home cooking made from fresh produce: a delight. The matured steak to share (600 gr) is “killer” accompanied by a plate-licking homemade gratin. The sauce that accompanies this steak is divine: a homemade beef base. The wines are not left out. We tasted a very good Côte du Rhône: “the time has come” from Stéphane Ogier. Fair price considering the exceptional quality of the whole. It's worth the detour.

What a nice surprise to discover this bistro! The setting of the downstairs room first with its ancient earthenware walls evoking scenes from the Halles of old. And delicious, generous and very digestible cuisine: for us it was onion soup, roast pig with polenta and duck parmentier. Efficient and without fuss. Sweet price. A beautiful address to keep!

Couple of cooks/owners otherwise friendly but the rest is a disaster. When ordering we were informed that two dishes were no longer available (parmentier hash and pork!) but no one informed us upon entering or presenting the menu. Terrible and unprofessional service. Plates are cleared by stacking them in front of a customer! The bottle of wine arrives already opened! Very loud and otherwise unnecessary music. In short, move on!

Avoid - terrible customer Service, rude, unaccountable. 20 minutes for ordering, 30 minutes for water, 45 minutes for entrees and wine, over an hour and a quarter for entrees. Cold entrees, cold coffee - which they tried to state was acceptable (cold coffee and food). Avoid the stress and hassle - go to’ a thousand other places in Paris.

The place is beautiful, the food is delicious and the welcome is very friendly. This time we were there for lunch on a Sunday, which was very pleasant because it was quieter. Semi-cooked foie gras is always just as delicate. The lamb parmentier was tender and tasty but the sausage and its mash received all the votes. As for the rum baba made over three days and served with the bottle of amber rum, it has nothing to do with the spongy imitations that claim to be rum baba.

Very good authentic address in this touristy area. This is the oldest bistro in Les Halles, very well preserved in its 1900 architecture. The house sources its supplies directly from selected producers and creates tasty cuisine. Notables and clones of the “world after”, abstain.

So happy we came here for dinner on our first night in Paris. Lovely waiting staff, beautiful tiles (guidebook says laid in 1890!), delicious food all in a nice cosy atmosphere. Pork belly was melt in the mouth. Nice wine. Will definitely recommend to friends and family coming to Paris

Divine surprise. At the end of a tiring Parisian stay, this unknown address in a moving setting. French dishes that reek of real France. Large snails, perfect foie gras, lamb parmentier and Pic Saint Loup to coat it all. Thank you Théo, it was magnificent. A small Alsatian family attentive to taste.

We had a very delicious meal at this restaurant. Perfectly cooked steak with the nicest pepper sauce I had ever eaten. Staff are extremely friendly. The restaurant is very authentically French and was exactly what we had in mind for our last evening in Paris.

A real restaurant in the market halls. Selected products, local and tasteful cuisine, simple and good wines. And more than all this warm welcome and this joy of sharing claimed by the boss. A guy who doesn't mind refilling your drink and asking you if everything is good. An international clientele that rubs shoulders with regulars, an exceptional decor, all that makes it an address to be favored.

Our waiter was friendly, the service was prompt & the food delicious. I loved the tiled stories of Les Halles around the walls.

Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
