First I thought "well, another japanese tapas corner, we've got so many already..." But this place is great ! Everything is done in the minute, so fresh ! The owner is french and the chef is japanese, they're both very friendly, even when you arrive a bit late. It's easy to order exactly according to everyone's exact needs as tapas... More

This tiny little place does a brisk trade at lunchtime, mainly food to go, but about 20 seats if you want to eat in. Lunchtime menu is quite limited, but changes every day depending on the whim of the kitchen. The "sandwich" today was crispy-fried pork with red cabbage and a spicy BBQ sauce in a small baguette, the "main"... More

Small restaurant with a simple menu. The salad was good, the katsu sandwich excellent, and the goats cheese and honey, excellent. We had to order a second round as it did not fill us up. The staff were very friendly and took the time to explain the wine. For two rounds of brochettes and two bottles of wine it was... More

I tried their excellent japanese-french sandwich. It's surprising with a good bread and a bit too much mustard but it was great. The meat was perfectly cooked.

Nice place, slow service, half of our order was forgotten, other half took ages, food bit too fried, delicious salad and cheesecake. Nice to try but we were still hungry in the end and the small prices add up quickly!!!

Bright fresh and new, this earnest and lovely spot features many small dishes comprised of all sorts of pickles, crispy fried meat, fish, and vegetables. Accompanied by a choice of wine, beer and unique cocktails, it is a great place to start the evening or to finish it. The food is presented on long skewers that fit into a block... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
