Shame that the staff of this lovey parisian venue is completely untrained and unfriendly. We waited an hour to have our order taken. We finally had to hail one of the waiters to get his attention which he took as a personal offense. My bloody mary consisted of a flavourless mix of tomato juice and a drop of vodka and... More

A wonderful find close to Gare de l'Est in an old monastery taken over by an Architectural college. There is a funky Parisian vibe to this place with cool students and older clientele, the food is a mix with some great vegetarian and meat dishes complimenting each other, wines and beers served in a relaxed garden area and by friendly... the location is great, tucked away near the station, we stumbled across this little gem on a secret tour of paris. Based in a converted nunnery this trendy cafe is rustic and with a great outdoor area, the food is pretty basic - good proportions and solid choices, fish and chips, vege lasagne, chicken and rice, it was tasty but... Café A has such a huge potential, yet it is so underdeveloped. Service is apalling. The food menu is poor. Drinks are basic. So sad considering the very nice setting under the trees

Lunch with a great friend planned who actually was there to write a review on great places in Paris to eat. Upon arrival a rather unfriendly woman on the phone at reception...sorting out her private life...non smiling but promptley telling me she was on the phone. I had to ask someone for a drink whilst waiting for my friends. Mojitos... More

We arrived at 2.30, 30 min before the end of the lunch time. The waiter arrived at 3. He ignored us for 30 min to finally tell us that they stopped serving (in a rude way).

Inside the ancien Récollets coventry (a XVII th Century) renovated as a Parisian artistic place, there is a nice place, really calm, far from traffic and city noises, to eat or have a drink. Trees, umbrellas, even beach chairs, make you feel like in a secret spot. The dishes are good and presented with taste, colors, flavors. The prices are... More

The owners of this restaurant - which is inside the beautiful buildings and gardens of an ancient monastery, now belonging to "Maison de l'Architecture" - do everything they can to waste the opportunity provided by the beauty of the place. When we went there, the service was non existent, waiters were arrogant, food (basic salads) was barely edible, and the... More
