Great place for coffee or drinks. The food was good but we just had a club sandwich and an omelette. We were going to split the club but since it was premade they couldn't remove the mayonnaise which my wife is not a fan of. Great location and nice outdoor seating

We were a group of five, looking for a good breakfast to have on our last day in Paris. On Sunday, we couldn't find a lot of open restaruants that served breakfast, or served them for a reasonable price for what you got. Le Saint Jean had two full breakfast options which were very resonable and filled us up. The... More

The location is absolutely perfect, though it's a tourist trap which can be noticed on the high prices and very bad service. You get an assigned waiter to serve you, and suddenly he has taken a break and you have to wait until he gets back to be able to pay and leave the restaurant. Also a long time to... More

You can't beat the view. It's all about location. I came back to Paris after many years and had drinks with friends. This place has been around for so long and it keeps it's charm. If you want to enjoy Montmartre and you have time to enjoy the the view, I highly recommend!

We had a couple of salads - my daughter's plain "tomato" salad looked better than my more expensive "vegetarian (or Italian?) salad" - both were just okay. But the creme brulée we shared for dessert was really outstanding! Very busy at lunch time with a mix of locals and tourists. Staff was efficient but not too attentive.

We were on a 17 hour layover in Paris and decided to visit the Mont Martre area. After visiting the Basilica, we were hungry and stopped here for a late lunch. We enjoyed a three course meal with pastis outdoors while people watching. It's a busy area do lots to see. Service is decent, they speak English but a little... More

Staying in Montmartre

Neighbourhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colours, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
