A friend recommended Aux Pres, and we went because it was just around the corner from our hotel. We had eaten at a highly rated spot the night before, and would be again the next night, so we were looking for something more modest. Aux Pres was full, but there was space at the bar, six seats in fact. We... More

My husband and I dined here for dinner while on vacation in Paris. It was a fantastic experience for us. The customer service was outstanding - wait staff was so friendly and spoke English beautifully. While I speak some French, it often is easier to communicate regarding specifics in English. We felt welcome right away. I started with an Asian... More

My wife, adult daughter and I dined here on our last night in Paris this trip (10/15/16) at the suggestion of our hotel. We were the only non French folks there which was a good omen. All I can say is wow. The crispy prawn starter was outstanding but the best was the black cod in miso. Omg. Melted in... More

What seems to be the most standard French bistro from the outside turns out to be a fancy French cuisine laboratory at the first dish. From the false mirrors to the foie gras, classic brasserie's standards are reused, transformed and played with in this elegant dark colored bistro. Very good filet de boeuf, excellent wine list, cocktails seem nice too.... More

I chose this restaurant as I wanted to eat French as i was in Paris. The menu is however dominated by fusion dishes, at least the main courses were. Although there was nothing wrong with my dish (filled of beef), the quality of the ingredients was good and it was prepared as I wanted it, it was just not to... More

This is another of the restaurants of Cyril Lignac, chef of the famed Le Chardenoux restaurant in the 11th arrondisment. We were delighted to be able to go there, when another party staying at our hotel cancelled, and the concierge moved us into their spot (always ask your concierge for help like this, they can work wonders!). The restaurant was... More

I had lunch here for my birthday recently and it was a great experience. I speak a bit of French and really liked that the waiter gave me the French menu and not the English one like he did my non-French speaking family - sounds small I know but was a nice touch I appreciated. But the star was without... More

Many options for seating: small table outside, at the lively bar, or table inside. Dark wood motif. Larger room less noisy. Food is terrific if you like small plate or just a light eater. Attentive service.

We were looking for laid back, but trendy parisian bistrots and our concierge at La Reserve Hotel suggested we try Aux Près. Tiny restaurant, young atmosphere, AMAZING food and drinks. We´d already been traveling through France for 2 weeks, going to Michelin starred restaurants and it was probably the best meal we had in the whole trip. Small portions will... More

Too crowded. Too many patrons. Too little wait staff. Too slow. Too much waiting for service, bread, drinks, food, the bill. Food is very good. But there are just too many tables and not enough staff to go around. Too bad. Could have been a #1.
