The most disappointing was the tempura dish. Not tempura crispy, greasy and the fish pieces were obviously the bad cuts from the sushi preparation, that was very little delicate and disappointing.

If u want to eat good Japanese food, but no sushi in a quiet place next to Saint Paul, here u r ! The choices r little and most of the dishes are great, it's interesting to discover a little of the real Japanese cuisine. U can have a reduction fee with la fourchette app :-)

We do not speak french well. The waiter's second language was french so it made things interesting. We muddled through, the waiter was attentive and kind to us. The meal was one of the most memorable I've eaten all travel season. It is a must go to for any one who visit Paris.

This is a gem of a Japanese restaurant, slightly hidden away but food is of excellent quality. We had a set menu for 35€ which for French standards is pretty good. Would definitely visit again

I go very often to that little restaurant, and always very happy. The service is really nice and welcoming (if you're in a hurry, let them know) The food is very well presented, original and excellent. They do have sushis and sashimis, but the quality of the fish they use is amazing. And they also do modern japanese cuisine, with... More

À real Japanese restaurant with the food you don't find in common sushi bar. We took the "menu degustation", the service is really perfect, the food is surprising and very good... Regarding the bill it's pretty expensive but at the end a good quality rate.

We stumbled upon this small restaurant one late evening when we were far too tired to walk any distance. The place is modest and unassuming. The name wrongly suggests a Spanish restaurant since the cuisine is Japanese. The service was incredibly warm and professional. The quality of food amazing. We asked to prepare vegetarian sushi and sashimi, which was not... More

Great food, kind people but slow (understaffed?) Also: take the menu, as value for money with dishes is poor. Red wine by the glass too expensive

I ate at restaurant Sancho at the end of August - I was having a real craving for Japanese food after about 10 days of delicious French food. But my experience with Asian cuisine in Paris has been spotty, so I read a lot of reviews before trying Sancho. I couldn't have been happier! I took my book and settled... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendour. This neighbourhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
