This is what Paris is all about, walking through the Streets and falling on a place like this, and boy did they not disapoint. This Basque tapas place really gave a feel of authenticity. The menu was completly appealing from A to Z. Very nice wine selection, and more importantly a great buzz and atmosphere. A must when in Paris

We decided to have a relaxed dinner & sat at the bar. Basque style cuisine; food was fantastic, tapas style. The atmosphere was very alive and joyful. From where we were siting we could see one of the chefs preparing all the cold items and it was great! Service was casual, everyone was nice! Loved the basque wine we tried,... More

The menu was previously small sharing platters with variety of fresh vegs imaginately served and fried, grilled, etc.foods. Last night, the menu comprised almost all fried food. The fried duck spring rolls were heavy and almost no trace of duck. Previously they were lighter and contained confit de canard. The fried Camembert was pretty ordinary. Service was excellent. Wines were... More

We had a memorable meal with moules and duck for two. The sangria had a perfect amount of punch and tartness. we were able to get an good outside table without a reservation on a Sunday night at 7:30pm. The service is also friendly - they have menus in french and english but this is truly a delicious place for... More

Close to the metro; friendly staff (I have to say, all waiters I've experienced in Paris are quite friendly and willing to help, they can be busy, but they sure are not rude like the stereotypes); food is tasty enough, price is reasonable. It better than average, but a little far from being very good.

This is a very nice tapas restaurant that we enjoyed 2 years ago,and again this year. Since we had no reservation, we sat at the bar and unfortunately watched them prepare some of the dishes by heating them in the microwave. Having said that, everything we had came from the kitchen and was very tasty. We especially enjoyed the polenta,... More

Nice restaurant and friendly . Busy location . The tapas average ive had better . We were waiting aprox 30/40 mins for our food after ordering . A bit of a mixed bag . A little more attention to detail and this could be great .

A colleague and I had to find a restaurant near our hotel quickly, and what was better than to use TripAdvisor. We found Dans les Landes which had very good recommendations, and we were not disappointed. A nice atmosphere and very good food, with a focus on tapas: we started with a basque sausage, then a tuna maki roll-like-thing, and... More

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighbourhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
