I was strolling down a street near my AirBnB looking at menus when an older gentleman passed me and asked me if I was looking for a place to eat, to which I replied "oui". He recommended Hostellerie de l'oie qui fume and I can't say enough good things about it. When it comes to Paris, the food is usually... More

We tried this cafe at the recommendation of a tour guide and we enjoyed it so much, we returned two days later. The food is delicious (salads great; onion soup great; beef burgundy very good; escargot very good; fondue excellent), service is attentive and friendly, and the prix fixe menu is an excellent value and the wine that comes with... I absolutely love this restaurant. I eat here on average about once a week purely because I can. That doesn't mean I have a lot of money; I don't. This place is just excellent value for money. In fact, I would say it is the best value for money in Paris. I have only ever eaten from the set menu... More

We walked over for an early lunch at L'oie Qui Fume as our hotel up the road made it possible for us to have an early check in. Good thing too as we were pretty hungry. I had this place marked due to its rating when I checked Google Map. The restaurant is small-ish, characteristic of most Parisien cafes with... More

Always visit this restaurant and spend most evening meals here-but this year we found it has a new owner. Food OK but not as rich & lush as it used to be. Shame

TripAdvisor has helped us find some great spots, but unfortunately this is not one of them. We spent 7 days in Paris and came across this place not far from Notre Dame. It looked busy and at the time was rated a 4/5 on TripAdvisor so we thought we'd give it a shot. We were hungry. After sitting down, we... More

We visited this restaurant with a small boy who really wanted to eat frog legs and snails. The snails were great, the frog legs cooked in tasteless sauce and they just weren't as tasty as we thought they would be. The service was great and the prices too.

Can never get tired of this place. Every time I came to St Michel area, I took time to have some dishes here. I still cannot believe we can get a full set of meal in Paris at the price of 10€! The food quality is decent as well. I recommended this place to all my friends, especially those coming... More

Good place to have lunch infront of Notre Dame. Very reasonable prices. The lunch for 3 with a bottle of rose was 63E

Neighbourhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighbourhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
