I used to go there often, a few years ago. But things have changed. The old English women left, and a manager of Asian origin replaced them. However, there is no reason for prejudice if we consider that Chinese gastronomy is far superior to that of Albion. Obviously, English tea is an institution with little competition. So what ? The welcome is quite dynamic, even a little lively, but courteous. The manager, if you handle it with courtesy (that's the least you can do), ends up being quite friendly and attentive. The tablecloths are made of paper. Too bad, because the English club side of the dark wood decor has not changed. The service is not super fast, but we don't come for that. The tea menu is very extensive and they are served dipped in a teapot and without a bag… (worry: they quickly become too strong). But they are of good quality. The scones are smaller than before, but they are excellent. Carrot cake lacks a little spice for some, but for others, it is all the more refined. The scrambled eggs are good, maybe a little cooked, but the quantity is there. The smoked salmon is okay. The salad is fresh. In short, we no longer find the very exceptional refined character that this address had, but despite everything, we have a very pleasant time there, without music, in the hushed calm of peaceful conversations.

Near Notre Dame with outdoor tables which however occupy the pavement and passers-by might swear at you as happened to us we had toast, potatoes and eggs and a salad all quite good and within the norm. Parisian service without enthusiasm as in the whole city. High prices but the area is very touristy.

I came to this tea room more than 20 years ago, I remembered a very English atmosphere. When I got home I thought I had gone to the wrong place. It was by reading the comments that I discovered that the management is no longer English. It’s a shame it has lost its charm even if the English tableware remains. The scones were good but very small. The charm is gone, it’s a shame, especially with the paper tablecloths.

It was not planned our stop at Caddy, but I must say that everything was wonderful. Warm and welcoming atmosphere, courteous and attentive staff. Tea served impeccably, a truly incredible scent. Cake with berries sublime, Super experience.

Small tea room, picturesque atmosphere. For a snack this is quite correct. Unfortunately the decoration as well as the table setting is very restricted. A real homemade hot chocolate. I recommend for an afternoon snack

Super near Notre Dame and the Shakespeare and Co bookshop. Lovely, old fashioned restaurant, full of wooden fittings - it looked charming. The waitress was so sweet. Seating outside and in. Lovely, reasonably priced food and great big selection of tea. Would definitely visit again.

Very welcoming staff and a cosy setting in a wet and windy Paris. Enjoyed a nice lunchtime meal followed by a perfectly made pot of tea. Spotlessly clean as well

The negative reviews reflect an ignorance of a French menu. The place is lovely, a gentle space in the midst of hustle and bustle. The food was very fresh, and carefully prepared. The croque mis. and the croque mdm. we’re wonderful and an excellent value at 9€ each. Fresh bread thickly sliced with generous portions of ham and cheese. The beer was ice cold and refreshing. The white wine was a perfect match to the sandwich.

Stopped in here for a quick snack and it did the trick. The waitress was very polite and sweet. Service was very efficient. The place itself is very cute although the lining on the tablecloths kindof ruins the feel a bit. We both got the Tea Caddy scones and tea. At 6.40euro for a scone it is pricey but they were delicious.

Not impressed with the Tea Caddy. Nothing was fresh, and the smoked salmon salad I ordered was very literally just a place of plain lettuce and salmon with a lemon, and it cost €15! This is in spite of the fact that I asked to have it without the bread (as I am gluten intolerant, and there were no gluten free options available) and without the creme fraîche as it didn’t appeal. The ciders we had were really nice and the setting just along from notre dame was beautiful on a Sunday day but the service was limp, much like the lettuce, and overpriced!

We just left this restaurant (if you can call it that). I ordered the tartine chevre which was nothing more than limp lettuce, white toast and raw goat cheese. They advertised a Champagne Pierre Gimmonet and brought us something very different yet charged us the same amount? I call BS - please - do NOT go to this sham of a tourist trap. Awful service and food. Go down a cool side street to find something far better. Yuck.

Chanced upon this cafe because it looked authentic & was filled with French people so thought I was being clever. It does have a feel of the old and although the food was basic I was pleased to be sitting somewhere that wasn't full or noisy. The salad is limp as the other reviewers have commented but good scones and atmosphere.

We had been to the market for the morning and decided to stop at The Tea Caddy for lunch. It has sidewalk seating in the shade, and is 1/2 a block from Notre Dame. The salad was fresh with mixed lettuces, the Croque Monsieur was delicious, and the bells of Notre Dame rang while we ate that Sunday at 12:00. It is a small but delightful place for quaint relaxing lunch.

This used to be a lovely cafe/tea room which has now been taken over by Chinese owners who microwave tasteless quiches and serve them with sad looking salad without dressing-AVOID AT ALL COSTS
