... you come to a place like this with a nice environment, nice coffee, so a waiter with a slightly unfriendly attitude isn't a big deal to me anyway

Staff is extremely friendly. Location is very central, interior is nicely decorated and the prices are not too bad! Nice for a coffee/drink and even for food. Big portions!

This was a lovely traditional French street cafe. There was a varied menu. The service was very good and the waiter was helpful. The starters were enormous and we struggled to eat the main courses afterwards. I had 3 boiled eggs and loads of salad as my egg mayonnaise!!! The quality of the meals was very good. The French Onion... More

€13 for what basically was cheese on toast with chips and a couple of leafs to justify the "salad". It was very obvious that the waiter didn't like us because our French wasn't very good - very reluctant to make any eye contact or try and speak with us. Practically threw our plates down on the table and walked off.... More

Myself and partner visited on the last day of our trip. The food was ok however the waiter was very rude when he realised we were English. I left some sandwich and he asked me why. No eye contact given, made us wait for a long time for the bill and to pay on card. Very disappointed

Paris is full of great restraunts, this is not one of them. It's a tourist trap at the chatalet metro station. I found the food was basic to say the least, and didn't justify the price. Roasted potatoes were potato squares thrown in a deep fat fryer, The steak was unedible. As stated it's a tourist trap and they have... More

Went here for dinner. Had been before on a previous visit to Paris and have recommended this restaurant to friends who also enjoyed it. The service is very friendly and the food is great too. We all had different types of food and as a large group we were all happy with our choices. Will definitely go back on my... More

This is a great place to stop for lunch. The waitstaff is friendly and upbeat. The food is solid. The pictures of Sarah Bernhardt are all over the restaurant walls. The atmosphere creates an experience.

Nice lunch with my family after visiting the Notre Dame Cathedral. Love the Sarah Bernhardt decor. Our server was very professional and helped make the meal special.

Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
