I was in Paris for a flight stopover, and went for a walk by the seine targeting to arrive at Les Marches. I do not regret. Very nice ambiance, simple and very good food. The highlight were "Les œufs meurettes", they were wonderful. Eggs at the right point, sauce delicious. It's true that the mousse au chocolat could be a... More

our party of 4 ate here one evening. The food came out quickly and was very good. I ordered the Beef Carrots. The meat was so tender it fell apart. Service was excellent as well!! I would definitely return!

Had the most amazing creamy mushroom escargot. This was followed by a delicious steak with pepper sauce and the most delicious salty crispy fries. We ended the meal with a surprise chocolate ice cream and it was a great surprise! Would recommend to anyone visiting Paris who is looking for an authentic, lively, neighbourhood fee restaurant.

My husband and I stumbled across this place after our river cruise. We were heading back towards George V avenue. The place was buzzing. Lots of locals (always a good sign) I had steak (amazing) and my husband (chicken) followed by desert. Cooked to perfection. 60 euros for the both of us (without wine) We wished we had found this... Great food and good service, this bistrot has a very authentic french atmosphere. There's no set menu but prices are very reasonable.

Not far from the Eiffel, this little gem of a restaurant was a great find. I had the sirloin with bearnaise sauce. It was extremely tender and tasty. The staff was very pleasant and the service was good. I arrived right after opening and the place soon started filling up. My lunch with a glass of wine and a cappuccino... More

Great place with very nice steak and meal of the day also. Cod, French beans and girolles mushrooms was today's choice. The chips are also super crispy. Very French and very busy. It's popular.

Staying near Arc de Triomphe and decided to walk down towards the River Seine to get a view of the Eiffel Tower, we walked down a flight of steps and spotted this restaurant on right hand side; at 6.30pm ish it was empty (Sat night) and had some vacant tables outside in the sun; greedy for photos of the Tower... Found this place after a river cruise that let off near the Eiffel Tower and were able to walk in at 10 without a reservation (2 people). Menu wasn't big, but the food was excellent - especially the pepper steak but the wine was the real highlight for my husband and I. We had an amazing bottle, then decided for... More

Description
Les Marches, referenced by the historic culinary guide "Les Routiers", serves a traditional cuisine in an authentic and lively atmosphere. Its location, nearby the Palais de Tokyo and facing the Quai Branly Museum, makes it a perfect stop on your cultural route or for a memorable moment with family and friends.
Recently acquired by the Dumant brothers, owners of L'Auberge Bressane (Paris 7), the menu celebrates the great classics of French cuisine, made with quality ingredients: the Rib-Eye Steak with Bearnaise sauce, the Pike Quenelles and Nantua sauce, the Pepper Steak and the Coq au Vin. Served with homemade French Fries and accompanied by a glass of Burgundy from our selection, these dishes will remind you of the simple pleasures found in the Parisian cuisine.

Staying in Trocadero

Neighbourhood Profile
Trocadero
This is the neighbourhood of grand and impressive Haussmann-designed apartments and buildings. National museums overlook the Eiffel Tower and embassies fill the avenues and streets. Locals head to the butcher, florist, or bakery on their daily rounds amidst luxury and splendour, all with a view over Paris and its most famous tower. Snuggled in between the grand buildings are small art galleries and homes of historical significance. With a rich legacy from 19th century politics, art, and architecture, you can’t help but be reminded of the belle époque, the Universal Exhibitions and the nobility that have frequented and shaped these streets.
