This is a re-post so I could correct my 'star' ratings. We chose this place based on the trip advisor rating on the window. We weren't disappointed. Service was cheerful and enthusiastic and waitstaff were happy to make time to chat. Three of us had 'main' type evening meals, not tapas. The wok salmon was just the lighter type of... More

What a find! It is small enough to be cozy, yet the menu is expansive and interesting. Try three or four tapas to share with one other person. I had three myself! Excellent cuisine.

Stumbled in here for lunch and found friendly staff willing to explain the menu. Quick service and good value (38 Euros for lunch for 2 people).

Stuff is explaining the dishes with smile and you can see that they like their work. Tapas are really good and the portions are totally ok for the ratio quality/price. Personally I recommend chipirrones! Only thing a bit negative during my visit, was the toilet flash that didn't work - we were using the saw to flush the water. But,... More

Well worth stopping in and checking out the tapas starters and main lunch course for 13 euros - can't beat that! Had fried calamari and a very thin beefsteak and my partner had the gambas on a plank - house white wine quite acceptable - out for 45 euros. Good stop!

Quite like the setting. The menu is displayed on the wall and is well priced. Basic but is ok for a quick lunch. Only issue is the staff. Like with so many french 'serveur' they are not really convinced you matter much. No advice and boerline rude. Should have looked at the reviews as a number of them mention this... More

This is charming but terrible food! Not even close to be called tapas. Can not understand why it got good reviews. Very disappointing. The queso frito was mozzarella sticks that was not properly cooked, better can be found at fast food restaurant. The patatas bravas was not fried, the salmon with tapenade was a weird and tasteless dish.

Food was very good but there is a waitress who is horrendous. Like making fun of the patrons in front of others. A real bully. Never had that experience.

Lively place, friendly service, absolutely necessary to book in advance on weekends. Great place to share nibbles over a couple of drinks.

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendour. This neighbourhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
