Situated on the steep hill near Sacre Coeur and a flight of steps below Place du Tertre this is well worth seeking out. A small restaurant with deliberately ramshackle decor, rough walls, long battered tables and benches. So expect to share a table with strangers. It...More

A great place to go. sat on a bench table with a lovely couple from Italy. There is a real friendly feeling about this place. We had Raclette which was delicious. The owners were very friendly and nothing was to much trouble. Will definitely go...More

Great place to eat. Really nice atmosphere and very friendly owners. Food was amazing. Excelent beef bourguignon and onion soup I'll never forget. I wish I couldn't spend more time in Paris, so try more they have to offer. Thank you!

We were lucky to get a spot to sit at the common table, as the restaurant was packed. Small cosy place with great vibes. Cheese fondue comes with the plate of different types of sausage, it was more than enough if you came hungry! The...More

I’ve had cheese fondue many times in the past, and the cheese fondue at La Taverne is BY FAR the best I’ve had. I highly recommend this restaurant!

We had earmarked this restaurant for our last evening in Paris and specifically Montmatre having walked past and seen people eating here. We arrived late in the evening and wanted to eat outside on a balmy August evening. It did seem at first that we...More

We were very pleasant to find this place with so wonderful food and nice decoration, and really good price for Paris. The creme bulle with the flames up was just great. Good variety of dishes to choose and all them well prepare and served.

This small place was recommended by our tour guide while in the area. What an excellent choice. We had the escargots, onion soup, and a meat plate that you cook on the table with vegs (dont remember the name) everything was excellent. Recommend it highly.

The food was alright but the restaurant was very small and therefore we had to sit outside. The service was horrible as the waiter responded to us very badly when some of us decided to share the food and order less. The menu was only...More

Bumped into this lovely, cozy and friendly tavern on our way to the Sacre Couer from Pigalle Metro. Firstly the atmosphere and appearance of the place is 10/10. The food was great PLUS (we couldn't believe this) but there was a three course set meal...More

Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colours, and
styles which changes from one street to another. Ride
the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the
steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the
Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The
church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano
bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers
thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy
