We ate here Saturday night and booked a table late on which we thought was lucky. We were really looking forward to the meal. It as soon as we walked in there was an atmosphere of not feeling welcome. It took an age for the waiter to take our order and a table of 4 who sat down after us... More

L'inattendu is a surprisingly (normal !) good restaurant in this relatively quiet street of the 15th district. In a quietly cozy decor, food is simply excellent end looks as good as it tastes. This is definitely the kind of restaurant where, from the waiters to the chef, you feel a shared ambition to propose a nicely revisited French cuisine at... More

We ate at this restaurant our first evening in Paris. Despite the jet lag we loved the food. All dishes tasted had the freshest ingredients. We started with Tempura shrimp and ceviche. The shrimp were breaded not in a tempura batter non the less we enjoyed both dishes. For our main courses we had grilled mackerel with spinach and calf... More

A good place in the 15th arrondisment next to the local 15th city hall. The lunch menu is very good at 25€ is a real bargain considering the quality of the cuisine. Two of us were very satisfied the third one complained somehow not about the food but her plate was not warmed.

The lunch experience was good, the plates tasted good and were very nicely presented. Unfortunately, something of the food was in bad shape and I felt ill afterwards. Hence, I recommend to avoid the place.

My wife and I ate here recently, and enjoyed an excellent meal. For starters, we both ordered the fois gras, and it was very good. For the main course, we both ordered the filet de bar (sea bass filet), which was fresh and cooked to perfection. Our white Burgundy wine, a 2011 Santenay, was silky smooth. For desert we went... We were in Paris for four nights and out of the recommended restaraunts, this was the best. Not a huge number of selections, but something for all. Food was great with a nice wine list. Off the beaten track, but worth it if you find yourself in the 15th.

The restaurant is out of the tourist highways, somewhere deep in the 15th. The menu is sufficiently broad with a number of fish and meat options. each dish was very tasty and copious. This is not nouvelle cuisine, but rather traditional, good to the belly, french food. The price for a 3 meal course of this caliber is VERY low... More

If you're hoping for some traditional cuisine, then you'll be disappointed. The food served here, while good is probably more modern european/fusion IMHO. The owner was very knowledgable about the wines and made a good call. Dinner was nice and unhurried but it was midweek, so i cant say how the place would perform were it full. (I would rate... More

We were in Paris for my birthday and had looked on Trip Advisor for a good restaurant and had seen L'inattendu in Rue St paul was quite high up in the list, but we were unable to contact them via email to book and found there was another branch in the 15th arrondissement close to the Vaugirard Metro. We booked... More
