Stumbled on this bijou restaurant on a wander round Le Marais. It was closed at the time but we enquired at the bar next door and were immediately ushered into the restaurant and were able to make a booking for that evening. The staff were very friendly but didn't speak much english. Our schoolboy french helped a little and they... More

We are staying at a charming apartment in le Marais and this place is a few steps from our back door. Pure good luck! Attentive, friendly service, food was excellent and beautifully presented. Good wine. Good value. We will go back for our last dinner in Paris. I think they are not open for lunch, only dinner.

We found this restaurants as wanted to find a nice small french restaurants. We went there on a Saturday night and the place was full. So we were told to go next door to the gay pub where we can have a table there and the same food. We did and we weren't disappointed. The food was amazing. I had... More

This is an amazing little restaurant tucked into a side street in the Marais with simple, French cuisine, an amazing atmosphere and a friendly staff.

Though on our most recent trip we found a close competitor for Zerestoo as our top Paris restaurant, this place still wins the day. For value, inventiveness, service, and fine cuisine, this tiny eatery can't be beat. We discovered it in 2013, and have returned faithfully on our two subsequent trips. They do a great job with everything--pork, lamb, salmon,... More

This affordable, tiny bistrot-style restaurant in the Marais was a great find. There is a set menu with a fairly small range of choices at a reasonable price - particularly for Paris. The menu tends to feature innovative twists on classic dishes, some of which work better than others. My starter of "Tartare de Saumon" mixed with bananas was interesting,... More

We were trying to go to the highly recommended Italian a couple of shops down but it was full. This restaurant looked interesting. The staff can speak basic English and the menu is translated. The specials are not though but you can work it out. A really great French meal was had. I encourage you to try it. It's really... More

The menu looked interesting and affordable so we decided to give this place a go. What a find! The food was excellent, the waiter very friendly, and patient with our terrible French and the atmosphere very relaxing. Highly recommended.

This place was wonderful! Food is delicious. Presentation is very nice and people are kind. We came back 2 nights in a row and they served us very late both nights without any problems. Highly recommend.

While the atmosphere of Zerestoo is quite nice, the fish sole was so so, and likely warmed up and pre-cooked.

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendour. This neighbourhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
