This is actually a review of the Patrick Roger branch at 45 Avenue Victor Hugo but Tripadvisor doesn't seem to let me add that branch. This is luxury chocolate at its best. The store is exquisitely decorated, with giant chocolate sculptures, all in shades of rich green and dark chocolate. Prices are high - very high - 36 euros for... More

I try chocolate all around the world and this shop was one of the one I have enjoyed most. The key lime caramel chocolate thing was the best flavor, and the oat was really tasty too. I can't wait to return!

I visited this shop on a chocolate tour and this was my personal favorite! Patrick Roger is known for creating elaborate sculptures of chocolate and the store we visited displayed a chocolate ape head in the window. He later casts these in metal and we found metal hippo sculptures in the upstairs of the shop- it was like eating our... More

Yes, the chocolate was great but for me, that is not enough. When I was at a Patrick Roger Chocolatier in Paris, I was told I could have a box of chocolate only if I bought a ready packed box of chocolate. If I wanted to choose different kinds of chocolate, it would be in a plastic bag only. Really?... More

Who doesn't love chocolate, not many people love it more than Patrick Roger. His genius blend of chocolate making and art resonates in every element in the experience of eating the chocolate. From the striking modern design of the stores, to the equally striking glaze and painting of the chocolate on offer. The beautiful packaging, it's all excellent and it... More

We first visited Patrick Roger (the location on Place St Suplice) while on a food tour. The chocolates that we tasted were so amazing that we went back later to buy a box to take back home as a gift to a good friend. On offer are more traditional chocolates (like chocolate only, rocher, etc.), but in my mind, the... More

We visited two locations of the MOF (Meilleur Ouvrier de France) winning chocolatier Patrick Roger. One of which is located on the side of the St. Sulpice church and the other which is located on Boulevard Saint-Germain diagonally across from the H&M. Both stores had plenty of chocolate. The Saint-Germain store had a better chocolate sculpture! An orangutan! Everything inside... More

Came here based on research online. Fancy shop. The chocolate bars are in ultra modern metal cases. They staff was very helpful in describing what dad chocolate bars had which flavor tones. Sampled some chocolate while there which was excellent. Can't wait to try them.

One of the best chocolate we ever had. I can feel the lady, PR's sister, who worked there took pride in her brother's creations. We told her we saw their story on TVO, and we look forward trying their chocolate. She let us tasted some of the chocolate and patiently explained their selections after we told her which kind of... I've been going here for a few years. The chocolate is unbelievably delicious. There are threes shops that I know of and service is great in all three. P. Roger also carries chocolate bars in tins for €7. These bars are from Mexico, Indonesia and all over. The bars are decent sized and travel well. I bought them as gifts.... More

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighbourhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighbourhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
