We went for a lunch on Sunday, March 8 and as expected the restaurant was fully booked. We got recommendations for this restaurant and were keen to try some of their specialties.
All staff were very polite and helpfull however one must know that they do not have menu in English and that some of the waiters needs to explain to you dish by dish what it is and so on. For this kind of restaurant owned by Michelin chef you would expect to have English menu since we believe that so many foreigners come and visit.
For me the best dish was bone marrow and my husband had burger which he said was the best burger that he ever tasted (and he tried many burgers in his life). I also had lobster ravioli in a form of a soup and was not so impressed with.
I liked a lot the enterior of the restaurant and its bar as well as visible (open) kitchen.
It is a place to go and see but keep in mind that it is very expensive especially when it comes to wine and meat dishes.

Clover Grill's specialty is meat, and it's true.
It is a steak house with a typically French atmosphere, in an alley in the center of Paris.
Informal climate but not too much.
The staff is very courteous and prepared, and guides the customer towards the choice of dishes and wines.
Prices are above average, justified by the quality certainly, but maybe a little too much?
Two glasses of wine 32 euros, great, seemed excessive (that's why 4 stars instead of 5).
But it's all written down and since you only go by reservation you know first what you could spend.
We were aware and still recommend Clover Grill to those who want to try a restaurant outside the tourist circuits that are on every corner in Paris.

My partner and I had a reservation for here, on our first night in Paris. Beautiful restaurant, lovely atmosphere, we could see the chefs preparing/cooking from our table. I had a brilliant steak, my partner had a fantastic burger, we both shared a bowl of french fries which where possibly the nicest fries we have ever had. We also shared the dessert churros, which where delicious.
Staff are very friendly and spoke good English (thankfully) as our French is very basic.
The only small problem was I asked for my steak to be cooked medium, but it was more like well done. Maybe it was cross-communication between myself and the waiter. But it was still beautiful so I did not mind!
Price slightly on the dearer side, but for a Michelin guide restaurant, at its location (several minute walk from the Louvre) it was expected.
Fantastic restaurant folks, if we ever visit Paris again, we will return.

We had our first visit here tonight. They opened promptly at 7:00 pm. Our server was Valentin and he was wonderful; very friendly and informative. We were here for about an hour and a half or so. The staff was very nice and treated us well. We ordered the Bone Marrow, the dinner for $69.00 that we shared and that included Duck fois gras, Lobster soup, Lamb with Fries and churros with chocolate and ice cream. The food was delicious my favorite are the lobster soup and the Lamb. Valentin gave me permission to post his picture; he deserves the recognition because of how well he treated us. Thank you Valentin for making our first French cuisine dinner the best. I would highly recommend coming here.

We were craving a good steak and found this place... Reservations are a MUST.
For appetizers we had the calamari carbonara (simply exquisite), scallops St. Jacques and a beef/French cured ham - all delicious!
The steak was perfect and to finish the had a broiled pineapple that was beyond amazing!!

If I could give zero stars for service I would.
I had a terrible experience here recently on a date. Firstly we were sat beside a window with a huge draft coming through, and my girlfriend sat facing a flickering light which began to give her a migraine. We ignored it for the first 40 minutes, after which we asked politely to move table. We were refused for a further 15 minutes, sitting in the cold waiting for our food when we were finally moved.
Our nightmare with the service continued, our waiter was extremely obnoxious and rude for the duration of the night. As the menu was entirely in French he agreed to help us translate. Going with his recommendation we ordered a steak for 2, a portion of fries and a portion of sweet potato. When asked how I would like my steak cooked I answered ''Medium-well'', which the waiter retorted ''no'' to. My girlfriend also tried to order mash-potato as a side and was also rudely told '' no''', even though it transpired later in the night that this was an option on the menu.
When ordering a bottle of wine I chose a French white priced at 45 euro, and was told multiple times by our rude waiter that this would not work with the steak as he attempted to insist we order an alternate worth 180 euro. I politely declined.
Before our food arrived I realised that I had accidentally ordered a steak worth 120 euro (Usually we would stay closer to the 90 euro mark between 2 as a treat). Upon this realization we readied ourselves for some fantastic food. Unfortunately when the steak arrived it was only enough for 1 person. The sides were equally as disappointingly small. We had finished our entire meal within 15 minutes, which was before our condescending waiter arrived with the accompanying sauce. Our bottle of white wine was left on the table with no ice bucket even though tables around us eating burgers and beer were receiving much better treatment.
By the end of our night we left starving, with a 180 euro bill, having had an awful experience and a gut-wrenching feeling that we had been well and truly ripped off.
This was truly the most disappointing dining experience I have ever had.

If Parisian prices persist, the overall quality of the culinary experience is no longer keeping pace. The service, once praised for its elegance, has become hurried, pushy, disinterested, creating an unpleasant atmosphere.
As soon as you arrive at the establishment, the decline is felt, with obvious disappointment, the welcome is ordinary... The timing is tight, like the tables... The bistro atmosphere does not excuse everything.
Barely time to sit down when the waiter returns to take the order, and force our hand to consume, without any subtlety, as if we were the last of the amateurs, or the tourists…
The waiter asks us if we want wine. No trace of the sommelier. So we'll settle for two glasses. I take the opportunity to ask him about the open bottles behind the counter, without caps or nitrogen system… embarrassment for the waiter, “uh, they’ve only been open since lunch”.
The gastronomic experience gets off to a bad start, suggesting a decline which is confirmed.
The “revisitation” of the carbonara, once a lauded signature, has been missed. The squid is gummy, (not “al dente”).
“It can happen” is the waiter’s clumsy response… (sic).
The foie gras terrine is just right.
The Galician blonde is okay, but doesn't meet expectations.
The salt (flower) is ordinary, flakes would have been more appropriate… Only the sauces and fries are worthy. Small consolation.
Unfortunately, if in the past "it passed" for critics (out of politeness to Jean-François Piège?), it is now difficult to recommend the Clover Grill to connoisseurs. Enlightened diners are invited to move on, in search of a culinary experience that will truly satisfy them. A name is not enough, others have learned the hard way. Not everyone wants Bone’s (the Atlanta brand). And the menu which is reduced over the years is undoubtedly another marker of decadence. Damage.

This was our last dinner in Paris at the recommendation of our hotel concierge Michael. Small place but the steaks are excellent. Warning! When you see in the menu the phrase "les 100 grams", it means that the price of the steak is 36 Euro per 100 grams or 3.5 oz. Therefore, if you order a 30 oz steak the price will be 309 Euros!! 30/3.5 X 36 Euros. If you can afford it, it is a great place for a steak.

You arrive at a half-empty restaurant on time. You are told in an unpleasant tone that your table is not ready and you are sent to the bar with the tone of a monarch speaking to a beggar, and without the slightest offer of a drink. When someone finally comes to you and you have the presumption, in the still empty restaurant, to ask when the table will be ready in a somewhat firm manner, they tell you: stop attacking me...
You come to a restaurant that serves meats for 100 bucks and where you are going to spend at least 500 euros (wine is an expensive passion :-)) and they respond to you when you say that you have never been so poorly received in a restaurant: you are not in a starred restaurant…
After these first moments I must admit that I lost control a little and that the words were virulent...
but ultimately I don't regret having done it at all..
when you serve exceptional meats at exceptional prices, you have a minimum of organization to manage your tables and above all a minimum of consideration for your guests...

Address that we have known for several years and tested on numerous occasions.
This time it had been about a year since we last came….
And then... it was a disaster!!!!
The meat (Galice entrecôte) was not supposed to be mature...
Except that it had a very strong taste…. But only on one side of the piece and not the other...
In terms of cooking blue meat on one side (cooking required) but limited to medium on the other....
The large fries that replace the matches are greasy, not crispy, mealy and arrive not salty enough...
The last straw comes with the churros….
Which before were hearty and super tasty…
There we serve you two churros in circles 5cm in diameter... and they taste like everything except churros...
Dough that crumbles and disintegrates... no taste interest...
We're not talking about the charged bottle of water which is in fact filtered water from the restaurant, served in bottles with caps of questionable hygiene...
When you express your disappointment to the waiter (who doesn't take any action on the bill) he tells you that it doesn't surprise him, especially on the churros!!!
Well, in summary, apart from the prices which have increased, the quality is no longer there in this place which was part of our habits...
It’s a shame that Chief Piège leaves his image associated with such a massacre…
We will discover other addresses instead!!

This is the first time I've written a direct comment because I'm so scandalized by this evening.
A very noisy restaurant, very irregular service, all this would pass if the quality was on the plate.
And that’s where we don’t care about the customer. My wife and I each took a prime angus beef entrecôte, 250g, €75 per slice (!!) to have inedible meat where there was more sinew and fat than meat. Even the knife didn't survive. I think Buffalo Grill does it better. I'll pass on the uninteresting red wine and the ungenerous portion of fries. The icing on the cake: if you want a sauce, pay €6 more!! It's petty.
I have never felt so much like being taken for a pigeon.

My wife and I went here as a last dinner to celebrate our Christmas trip to Paris. It was awful from beginning to end. The reservation was made about one month ago, reserved with credit card, and they had no record of it. The result was we were stuck in a corner.
After 15 minutes, the waitress asked if we had any questions about the menu. I asked for a drink menu, and was met with "we have a wine list, but no cocktail menu. We can make all the classic cocktails." Ok, fair enough I guess. I would like to know the price (18 eur) but whatever.
She came back and explained that the majority of the beef is prime rib, minimum 800g, which I do not think is specified on the menu anywhere. But there were a few single steaks also. She recommended the Aberdeen, among others for something tender and flavorful.
We also ordered a Caesar salad to share, some spinach and mashed potatoes.
The food came out, and I kid you not, the meat was 80% inedible (and cost is by weight). It was like shoe leather. I had to spit gristle out into my napkin. Many pieces could not be cut with a knife because it was so sinewy and tough. Potatoes were ok. Spinach was just some leaves in a bowl. Caesar salad lettuce was visibly wilted.
Now, I may not look the part, and I'm no self righteous person, but I felt very much looked down upon in that restaurant. Food was largely terrible, and service was inadequate for anything mentioned in a Michelin guide.
We have eaten at a couple of nice places in Europe (not steak specialists, however). Trivet in London was worlds apart. Harwood Arms was also better. Hell, my hometown steak place in middle of nowhere USA is 500% better in every way.
Here's a breakdown of my bill:
500ml water: 5 eur
Gin & tonic: 18 eur
Manhattan: 18 eur
Caesar salad: 20 eur
800g Cote Ecosse Aberdeen 144 eur
Glass wine: 13 eur
=218 eur
Now, off to floss some shoe leather out of my teeth and to look for a kebab or something....still hungry.
Awful in every way.

Dishes and service not at all up to the price paid!
A cup of champagne at 21€ without any accompaniment!
At Chef Gagnaire, the cup is certainly the same price, but it is served with 5 appetizers...
We went there for a menu, the waiter pretexted that a menu while we were 3 is not possible.
Result. No signature 3-course menu at 74€ but replaced by a single piece of meat at 250€!
A scam! To flee
We will continue the tour of the great tables of France but, sorry Chief Trap, we pass our turn.
Disappointed! Very disappointed!

One of the poorest value restos in Paris - AVOID. 29€ for some tough piece of tuna with some rancid olive oil is hard to accept. Steak was fine, but so over priced (210€ for 750g) and so are the wines. These are NYC steak prices in a city where you can get a fine steak at fraction of price. Also wondering whether MSG was used on the steaks. Yet another insta boom resto riding a SoMe wave. I fell hook, line and sinker for this one :(

OK but too expensive.
Familiar service, useless sommelier, noisy room, tables too small and not suitable for the size of the plates.
The tables and the service have a bistro atmosphere... why not but not the price: that's stuck....
Prohibitively priced wine list.
Certain accompaniments - we're talking about mushrooms and spinach... - are charged extra. With a bill of more than 200 euros per person, we are bordering on stupidity.
The desserts are ordinary: the vanilla ice cream - a scoop for 20eur - has a nice consistency but it doesn't taste of vanilla. Damage...
On the next table, 2 churros lost on a large metal rod were difficult to see.
In short... move on.
Mr. Piège: we expected better from you!
