This was our first night in Paris and we were hungry. We chose to dine at the George V as it seemed a lovely and inviting place. First thing we were asked as we entered is if we preferred 'smoking' or 'non smoking' dining, as we are non smokers, we were taken inside and sat at the back, we were... More
Stylish and impressive. The service was impeccable. The Croque Madam was the most unique presentation I've ever seen. The eggs were so tiny and perfect! I would recommend this restaurant for snacks, lunch or dinner anytime.
Did usual sights and stopped to eat at restaurant. Had French onion soup. Had huge ball of inedible cheese with weak tasting soup. Followed up with fillet of beef with dauphinois potatoes. Potatoes obviously done earlier. Dry, bland and microwaved. Fillet chewy and not nice. Over £100 euros for two. Wouldn't recommend anyone eating there. Find the nice non tourist... More
Strolling down the Champs Elysees and looking for a scenic cafe to pause for refreshment? We chose George V right on the boulevard and were not disappointed. My husband, two grown sons, my brother and his wife were all graciously accomodated and shown the utmost courtesy. We chose this as the location for our French onion soup and it was... More
We visited this restaurant on the first day of our 3 day trip to Paris. Our waiter was Quentl, he was extremely helpful. The food was lovely, atmosphere really good. So good we decided to return on our last day. It was quite windy sitting outside on our first visit so on the second visit we asked to sit inside.... More
We stopped by in this wonderful café for a glass os white wine and a table of cheese. Great service, fast and delicious food at a chic atmosphere. The kids had juices and joined us for cheese. Great for couples too. Oh, the espresso in the end was a nice closing!
Having been to a fantastic Irish bar to to watch Ireland Vs France le Frog et rosbif in Paris serving brilliant home brewed real ale and friendly service, what a disappointment George V Cafe turned out to be. The fare ice was fine and food average at best, but 6.50 Euros as a side for an omelette that were rubbish...... More
Took a little break here while visiting Champs Elysees. Had coffees, hot chocolate and the fries platter. The food and drinks warmed us in the cold weather. Food was not exceptional but good enough for a break. Staffs were friendly and attentive too. Worth a visit for a little break along Champs Elysees.
I stopped for lunch and enjoyed a delicious comfort food lunch of cream, mushrooms, and veal as I sat and relaxed in front window and watched the Christmas time shoppers walk past.on Champs-Elysees.
