We've been coming to Chez Denise for 30+ years. Although my wife speaks fluent French, friendliness is not on the menu at Chez Denise. Want them to call a taxi, the answer is "Non." Want to see the very interesting wine cellar which has access...More

Of all the restaurants in France that we have experienced, this one was the absolute worst! I understand that it is not common to ask for take out in France but when we asked if we could share their flank steak between four of the...More

This charming little restaurant serves hearty authentic French cuisine. The food is a bit 'rough' and so is the service, but it somehow feels really great all together. Good portion sizes, very filling and delicious food and a simply stunning atmosphere! We must have been...More

Go early and go for the classics, you won’t be desapointed. Service is ok. Boss at the entrance quite nice. Not expensive. A little bit noisy but come on! You’re in Paris.

Been to Chez Denise a few times now and it never disappoints. Is it the most friendly restaurant in Paris? Definitely not. Is the menu easily decipherable (even for a semi fluent French speaker)? No. Are the waiters super helpful? No. Is the food awesome?...More
