Excellent food, very friendly and service minded staff. An iconic and classic brasserie that still is delivering high quality. I can really recommend the scallops. We had a really, really nice evening at Benoit!

The food was warm not hot and even though my husband and I had different mains, we spent the night and next day with awful stomach upset, which has spoilt our weekend break. Really disappointed

I saw some good reviews for this place and was sure it was confused with a place further down the street that is good,,,, I ordered steak..medium and it was like chewing a shoe! When I left 80% of the steak and another 10% chewed and uneaten on the plate, the waiter asked if all was OK. I told him... More

Generally a little cheaper than better-known restaurants in the area. Escargots were good, rib-eye steaks very good. The duck was very tasty. I had prawns and linguine- the prawns tasted great but were a little over-done. I wasn't keen on the sauce and the linguine was not hot enough. Bread very fresh, good coffee and really excellent service. Overall quite... More

We walked by many restaurants, looking at menus and then we happened upon Restaurant Au St. Benoit and it was quite crowded. We were seated within a few minutes as we had to wait for a table to be cleaned. We then looked at the menu and ordered Creamy Vegetable Soup, Creamy Onion Soup and an Arugula, Parmesan and Balsamic... More

Rather expensive for the quality of the food provided. Ordered a medium/rare steak that arrived practically blue and had very little flavour - there are definitely better options when dining out in Saint-Germain. However, it must be noted that the service was pretty decent and the food arrived promptly.

We were walking around trying to find a place for lunch and happened upon this restaurant. I'm so glad we did. The atmosphere is warm, relaxed, and friendly, the menu has plenty to offer at fair prices, and the staff was attentive and kind. The other diners were a mix of locals and tourists and the duck was superb. So,... More

Very good food at reasonable prices. Good service by pleasant staff. The dessert, ile flottante, is, in itself, a reason to come here. It is superb!

We discovered this nice restaurant while looking for a place for dinner on the Boulevard. Food was delicious and the service was pretty good. We are satisfied too for the good athmosphere. I would highly recommend this place.

Neighbourhood Profile
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
