We stopped in for some hot chocolate and looked at the menu for bakery items, but everything was so expensive. The service was average, the chocolate was good, but we did not stay long and did not eat anything. I would not go back.

This cafe was right across from our hotel, but was closed on our first two mornings there (Sunday and Monday). We went for breakfast on our first day. The cafe was not too busy around 9:30 am when we arrived. Its clean and has a nice atmosphere with a lovely fresh rose decorating each table. My husband ordered coffee and... More

It's very well located but it's a rip off caters only to the well heeled and the staff is unwelcoming especially if you choose the cheapest items on the list because you happen to have a stomach ache and can't sample a 22 euro dish but have to makedo with yogurt. Bien placé mais cher,Le service est peu aimable et... More

If you read the older reviews, I would certainly agree with parts of them. However, I've been visiting, mainly the deli side for great breads, and pastries. The shop is always full, and not only with tourists. We stopped by the restaurant, the dishes look, well prepared, fresh ingredients and good presentation. A good option for breakfast, lunch or a... Look no further if you want a very special breakfast this is the place. They have their own bread, home made jams and their presentation is not only beautiful but appetizing.

The breakfast was good though maybe a bit expensive for frequent visits. They had... More

Had tea and cake here twice, Mum had coffee. We are regular visitors to Paris and visit Fauchon due to proximity to hotel. However, this was less crowded, comfortable, good service and delicious mint tea in a proper pot. Mum and I shared a cake on both occassions and enjoyed.Would go back next time we are in Paris.

The sandwiches we picked up at the deli were fine, but the attitude of the staff here bordered on rudeness ... quite different from the other bakeries and bolangeries where we stopped for lunch during the week. It is convenient if you are planning to picnic in Luxembourg Gardens, though.

Lucky for us we stayed so close to B&R that we stocked up on their breads, pastries and gorgeous Iberian ham for our apartment. Oh, quiche. Did I mention quiche? Friendly service, great neighborhood.

We only had a latte and croissant but it was enjoyable. The place was well appointed and comfortable. It could be anywhere, not particularly Perisian. The take out counter was brimming with salads and paninis and I imagine they do a brisk business with take out.

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
