I was really craving some breakfast in Paris so after scouring Tripadvisor I finally found Coquelicot. It was a bit out of the way from where I was staying but it was worth the trek over there. It was also getting to be a little later in the day (around noon or 1 pm) so I was looking for a... More

We were referred to this place by our hotel so went... it seems that if you are American and don't speak any French, you will NOT receive table service. We grabbed a sidewalk table, finally caught the waitress for a menu then she never returned to take our order!! I went inside to ask if I could place our order... More

the place is very cute, once you enter you will see the bakery with a long queue, everything is delicious and fresh. if you want to sit inside, make sure you have a reservation, we went on a sunday monrning and we had to wait a bit, but it was totally worth it and the staff was very friendly.

This is right across from the Abbey in Montmartre. We've been to Paris twice in the last year and have gone back to this quaint cafe both times! Service is wonderful, coffee is plentiful, food is unbelievable! Bakery goods for take-away, as well. Don't miss this cafe!

I found this as wanted somewhere close by to our apartment for breakfast where we could buy some fresh croissants and bakery for the rest of our stay. We sat upstairs and had a delicious breakfast tray of fresh coffee & hot chocolate, freshly baked baguette, brioche, jams & butter and we got a pain au chocolate too. The breakfast... More

Found this cafe, attracted by the long queue for the bakery and the bowls of hot drink. A bit gimmicky but it works. We managed to get a little table downstairs and inside as it was a little chilly, one of 6 maybe. Staff are friendly and efficient, the place has rustic charm. 8€ for a bowl of coffee, 1/2... More

Looking for a place to enjoy a traditional French breakfast, we ended up at this charming spot near the Montmartre. Entering the bakery, the smell of freshly baked bread and patisserie immediately drew us in. Everything we ordered was delicious, from the brioche & croissants to their homemade hot chocolate served in large bowls. No wonder people are queuing up... More

Popped in for an early Lunch on a Saturday at midday. It was very busy downstairs, however, we noticed a sign saying seating upstairs and there was plenty of room. Decent value for money, great bakery and pastries, however, lunch was a little disappointing. The soup came quite cold and the crepe was average. Hot chocolate in a bowl was... More

Went there early morning with my brother, as I was looking at this restaurant before traveling to Paris months before. My expectations were high and indeed the quality was superb there. Though it took time to get the food, but everything was fresh and soft. If anyone going for vacation or whatever reason, this place is a must to try.... More

Simple review: I'm a foodie. The place is rammed daily. Huge portions, service with a smile. Delicious choice of tasty food. Legendary bread. Want a memorable breakfast? Come here. Finished

Staying in Montmartre

Neighbourhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colours, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
