After eating in several "couscous factories" (I won't deign to call these crowded, rushed places restaurants), I finally found what I was looking for at Le Caroubier. Come one and all to this phenomenal place that's about as easy to find as it gets next to Tramway in Paris. I mean, you could stumble into it from the boulevard. This restaurant is a little out of the way if you are not familiar with Paris. The best way to get there is on the tram as there is no metro close by, but without a doubt the trek was worth it. I had a very good diner there, the food was perfectly coocked, the staff is very friendly, and the interior of the restaurant is very nice looking. This is not had to parking around.

I visited the restaurant recently with my wife. Neither of us know Moroccan food very well, so we appreciated the helpful advice we received. There was much to like in the restaurant. Great atmosphere and friendly service. Both lamb tagines, sweet and savory, are standouts. Out waiter suggested a delicious rose from Morocco. Listen to your waiter- they really will point you in the right direction. Desserts are truly authentic but a bit too sweet and heavy for me. Mint tea is they way to go.

From the scented water to refresh oneself to the mint tea digestif, this place is worth a visit. The staff were friendly and informative, the service was discreet and the food most enjoyable, but too much! Lamb tagine just fell off the bone, and individual flavours could be deciphered. A good meal and great Moroccan flavours.

Actually, the 15eme use to have a large population of people from the Maghreb. This restaurant is very close to Porte de Versailles (Convention center) and many "international" folks will venture out to this restaurant for what we typically call "couscous", even though it's more than just couscous.
