As many others have already said, this is a beautiful old restaurant with lovely Art Nouveau style. We were tired, jet lagged and very late (near midnight) dropped into this restaurant , choosing this one from the many brasseries in the area, as the style made it stand out. We were welcomed and made to feel at home. To make... More

The restaurant is a time machine that will transport you a century back. The caleidoscopic richness of visual stimuli keeps your eyes shifting from mirrors to tiles to lamps... Menu is a list of french classics, most excellent, and good wines. (Onion soup - perfect, saint jaqcues with endive - perfect, lamb confit - ok, floating islands - perfect). Staff... More

Had an amazing evening there! We chose the 35€ fixed menu and the amount and quality of the food we got for that money was more than I expected. Good and honest food, wonderful atmosphere and friendly staff - could not ask for more! Their crème brûlée and foie gras were to die for!

This stunning restaurant offered up the best food we ate on our recent trip to Paris with real homely French cuisine with huge portions of loveliness!!! We ate from the set menu which for €35pp offered great value as you received a glass of Lillet or kir royal on arrival and a half a bottle of wine per person plus... More

Just round the corner from our hotel we found this great place to eat. Le Montparnasse 1900 is something special - not because it offers fine dining and is expensive (which it doesn't and it isn't) but because of the all-round pleasurable experience it provides. We were there on a busy Saturday night but the staff were efficient, helpful and... More

As a history lover, the vintage look of this restaurant caught my eye. My friends and I took advantage of the prix-fixe four course menu for 35 Euro and didn't regret it! The French onion soup was the best I've had. The daurande (sea bream) was in a simple butter sauce but so good and came with a side of... More

Yes, it really is like the photo. The tiles and fittings are genuine 1900 fixtures. The food is delightfully french and delicious but without any of that 'haute cuisine' nonsense or prices, and they had a good range of reasonably-priced. The staff were very amiable and welcomed us like old friends on our second visit (one was just not enough!)... More

Wow, what a fabulous restaurant. Before you even begin the meal, you can enjoy a wonderful fin-de-siecle decoration of stained glass, mirrors and fittings. The staff are delightful and so very friendly. The menu is not huge but extensive enough and excellent value for money (the cheese board is out of this world!). There is a good range of wines... I visited with my sister and Mother whilst staying for a few days in the beautiful area of Montparnasse. Very attractive restaurant dating back to the 1900s. Our waiter was very charming and yes 'the best'. Made to feel really comfortable and it was an experience pouring out the rum on to our babas. Everything we had ordered was cooked... More

Situated on the busy square at Montparnasse, among a number of other eateries, this restaurant is worth a visit. The food and wine were both good and fairly priced, and the ambience is fun.
