A small, informal restaurant in the heart of the beautiful city of Loches, this restaurant has a terrific menu of hearty, delicious fare. Each dish is an explosion of subtle, yet wonderful flavors, artfully prepared and presented.
We ate here with two grandchildren and we both very much enjoyed the 'menu du jour' which was very straightforward if a tad unexciting. It was good value for money. On the other hand the offering for the little ones was poor. Frankfurter and soggy chips or dauphinoise potatoes - rather good! Their dessert on the 'menu enfant' was a... More
We visited L'entracte after reading the reviews here. It was well worth it. We had the joue de porc which I can honestly say was one of the tastiest dishes we have had in France for quite a few years. The meat was so tender, the sauce unctuous and the accompaniments yummy. The panna cotta was also scrumptious.
We had a lovely meal at lunchtime on market day. The terrace was beautiful. Food was good, simple French cooking with seasonal ingredients. Menu was good and reasonable choice. The only downside was the steak tartare was served prepared and was quite spicy. We are going back for another meal.
We loved this place when we visited in 2015. What a difference a year makes! We were put on a table by the toilet entrance. I requested to move as the restaurant was completely empty but the surly waitress just said no and walked off, so we did exactly the same and never went back in the 15 days we... More
Very good food made with local fresh products. Amazing on market day! It is traditional food with people very involved in quality.
We did not eat well here. The place was quite crowd and the service was very slow. My choice of magnet de canard was spoilt by a thick brown, gloopy sauce. It may have been the worst meal of our holiday.
Chosen due to the random recommendation of a local leaving the restaurant, we had a late lunch and were happy with the food. The vegetarian tartin (like a hot open faced sandwich) and a decadent salad with foie gras and duck were both excellent, and reasonably priced. We would highly recommend.
This little gem had amazingly mouth watering food. Staff spoke very little English but we were able to get around using Google translate app. We had 3 and 4 courses each with a bottle of wine for under 100 euros. They were also very good about taking into account my shellfish allergy. The front or back outdoor seating areas are... More
