Made a reservation for this place having read reviews on all the top restaurants in Blois and to be fair also only those with a space at 24 hours notice. We had a table upstairs which I would say is not as desirable as at...More

We were four on a 6-day Loire trip and booked lunch at this famous restaurant. The ambiance is elegant, if a bit old-fashioned. But the food had a lovely modern twist to the classic French gourmet cuisine. For instance my starter was a set of...More

We had dinner in this restuarant without any chance to do any review, just followed the recommendation from the owner of the property we spent one night in Blois. It was an impressive dinner for us. We ordered one simplest set menu, one starter and...More

Very very trad French food in a nice setting but in comparison, safe, standard dishes at a premium price with pretty patchy service.

Outstanding restaurant. Believe it has one Michelin star and it is well-deserved. Attentive and polite service for a full five course dinner with wine by the glass. Setting was a warm night with about 30 or so other diners in several groups, mostly adults, on...More

Our travel agent guided us to this restaurant. Probably more up market than we were expecting. The food was lovely. The service terrific, and very attentive. Wine a bit pricey!

Don't get me wrong, the service and the food were great; however I was there for lunch and all their options are gastronomic and very expensive. There are less expensive options in the area, but this was recommended to us. A very expansive wine selection,...More

Good morning "S. Austin G" We have taken note concerning your opinion. As you said, we are not a sandwich restaurant but a gourmet restaurant with one Michelin Star. That explains the prices. It's impossible to take one course directly and not all the menu....More

Wonderful, lovely elegant simple atmosphere, warm welcome by a friendly patronne who knows her business, young delightfully earnest waiters. We had the four-course menu for 41 Euros: best amuse bouche we've had in France, frothy asparagus soup, absoutely outstanding pan-fried foie gras, perfectly and simply...More

This was a particularly pleasant way to end our holiday in the Loire Valley. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, the wine list was comprehensive with reasonably priced local wines and the staff were helpful and efficient.

The restaurant l'Orangerie du Chateau is opposite the fairy tale Chateau de Blois overlooking the beautiful facade of the castle. The orangery was built at the end of the 15th century during the reign of Louis XVII and Anne of Brittany and was surrounded by beautiful gardens. The orangery has become a fine dining restaurant offering a variety of menus priced from 39 to 85 euros per person as well as some of the finest French wines available. For tea and coffee lovers the restaurant also prides itself on the wide selection available. The menus are made up of traditional French dishes cooked and served to the very highest of standards and that change with the seasons.
