Our family of four had a nice lunch at La Lycorne. My husband and I had the medieval beef and our teens has the tarttiflettes. It was all good, if a bit pricy.

It is nearly two years since we last visited La Lycorne. We no longer have a property nearby but, when a cheap(ish!) ferry fare came up for a day in France, we couldn't resist making a booking at what was always our favourite restaurant in Dinan. We were not disappointed, apart from the lovely Annelise no longer being in charge.... More

Found this busy restaurant on a narrow pedestrian street in Dinan. After a wait, we got in and were treated to a unique dining experience with our food - seafood in my case - brought to the table raw along with a really hot rock on which I cooked my meal. Worth a visit.

We visited here on a Tuesday night because everywhere else was closed! It was a good experience with very helpful staff and lovely food. We were not familiar with at-table cooking and were helped and guided by the staff. We actually tried to return the following evening but it was the turn of this restaurant to be closed.

We had a great lunch here. We were a family of 6, including a 1 and 4 yr old and they were well prepared for us. There was a high chair and coloring for our eldest. The decor inside was rustic and the food was wonderful. We had the beef drizzled in whisky and set alight - it was perfect.... More

We were recommended this place for dinner. Very good. We had the freshly caught fish we can not remember the French name. The only problem was the service was a little chaotic the place was packed. .. by locals. So it is forgivable

Pleasant staff, cosy ambience and the novelty of cooking your own choice of poultry or meat on a hot stone brought to your table.

This restaurant is in an old building in the center of the old town. Ambiance often doesn't translate into good food though, but in this case it did. We had the moules and they were all cooked to perfection--and that is difficult to do. Usually, some are overcooked and some undercooked. In La Lycorne, ambiance and cuisine come together quite... My wife had Moules (mussels), I had the shrimp cooked on a hot stone. The service, the wine, the dessert were all first rate. The waiter and waitress were conversant in English. The whole dining experience was first rate. And quite a bargain for the price.
