Great food, friendly and helpful staff: we had a really nice lunch there with family and despite my mother's apprehensions, the steak was very tender! We all enjoyed our meal very much. Bar far the best meal we had that wekend in the Saint-Jean-de-Luz/Biarritz/Hondarribia area

The service was good but I expected better for the food that was for me not good. I expected the seafood to be good too because of the location but it wasn't good neither

We had a wonderful time for lunch. It was sunny but they turn on the heat over our head to keep us warm on the terrace. the staff is kind, attentive and smiling. The meat was so tender, a wonder, and the fish perfectly cooked. they gave us great advice to choose the wine, The atmosphere was friendly and warm.... More

Great lunch at this buzzy place with lots to choose from on the specials menu. Chèvre salad was enough for a meal in itself but I thought it was an entree so I had a omelette with cepes and chips for a main course. Much too much food but all absolutely perfect. My companion had fish and said it was... More

It was quite expensive place but they do really good duck food. I would avoid gambas in your choice! We really apreciated that you can sit outside. Service is really nice and quick.

We made a reservation in advance and arrived early and waited behind other guests who were waiting to be seated. A french couple arrived and skipped the queue - they had no booking and appeared to be regulars - we overheard the waiters advising that the table was booked in our name and then saw the French couple escorted to... we arrived from two different airports and had a Big Birthday to celebrate. We were delighted to have booked Le Bistro Lucien through the recommendation of our rental agent. I called the restaurant the day before from home to ask for a special table and it was absolutely perfect. The atmosphere is wonderful and vibrant and obviously frequented by locals.... More

Just enjoyed a lovely meal in what feels like a place that the locals enjoy. The menu is supplemented with specialities de jour and all are priced reasonably. The wine list is small and perfectly formed. I can thoroughly recommend the food, service, wine and the ambience.

Needing an early evening meal, or rather light snack, we were made very welcome despite the fact that the evening service had not yet started. We shared only a plateau of local charcuterie and cheese washed down with some carafe wine - it was more than satisfactory filling a gap; we will certainly re-visit.
