A real, excellent French cuisine with many options to choose. Excellent service in an elegant and cozy environment. This was our first time at La Canard Royal after being 5 times in Pau. From now on will be in our first option every time we come to Pau for business

My husband and I went to this restaurant after consulting trip adviser. We were received with a warm welcome by the friendly waitress. We ordered the Royal platter to share and I must say it was "out of this world". We had a lovely evening with superb food! The best in Pau in my opinion. The chef also gave us... More

Very friendly service. Reasonable prices and very nice food. I had the Canard Rossini, and baked duck liver is a great combination with baked duck breast. The wine list is not extensive but sufficient. Since there was one person serving, when it got busy, service got a little bit slower. Overal very nice experience, would go back the next time.

If you want to experience a great diner in Pau, just visit Le Canard Royal. That restaurant offers extraordinary local meals that are typical from South Western France, with foie gras and other duck made meals. This small restaurant is not cheap, but your meal is simply great, so...

As the name tells, this is about duck (but they also have salmon on the menu. The two of us had foes gras for starters, then duck breast. The creme brûlée I had for desert was different, more like cream with a crust and less creme anglaise - but tasty

If you love duck, this is the place to be! Having been there numerous times, I keep going back! From their "Rossini" to their "Fricassée" all their dishes are delicious and well presented. Great staff! I heard they opened up another of these on the coast in Anglet! Next pit stop after a little sun!

Being lovers of all things duck we were looking forward to our dinner here. Too bad it didn't fulfill our expectations. I had one of the menus while Penny had the Cassoulet. My "Royal Landais" salad was a small, deconstructed version and the Maigret for my main was rather tough. The Cassoulet was about average. In all, nothing special. Service... More

the dinner was very good (we took menu at 34e), we were full at the end. Service was also excellent even though the restaurant was full. Would have been awesome if there was the pyrenees as landscape :-)

Out here in business and you tend to stick to what you know but were invited to Le Canard by some collegues , a wonderful experience, beautiful restaurant, excellent food , the presentation is superb and the service second to non, you imagine its going to be very expensive but actually its reasonably priced for a restaurant of this standard...
