Food is OMG.. waiter is super super friendly.. prices are ok! It doesn't look like a very good restaurant as it's on a square with not so good places ( I tried most of them) .. however, this is the best restaurant I have eaten until now in Bordeaux.. it's so delicious.. a foodie will definitely understand it.. go there!

Table at first-floor window gave good view of square. Set menu offered interesting choices and this, with a small bottle of wine, cost €79 for two.

This small restaurant in a lively square was perfect for eating in the open air on a warm evening. The food and wine were good, without being exceptional, and the staff were friendly and helpful. A most enjoyable experience.

We dined here after a day in Bordeaux with our family. We opted to sit on the patio overlooking the square. Upon arrival there were maybe 2-3 tables of people on the patio so we requested a table away from other patrons only to be told they were reserved and were seated uncomfortably close to existing pstrons. The entire time... More

Very nice ambiance and view of the square. I had one of the best pastas in my life, with goat cheese, dried tomatoes and arugula. The menus cost 28 euro and it is worth it.

Excellent start with delicious seafood but the dish of the day was just so-so. Nice place on a very cute square though.

We were travelling through Bordeax on the day of our 41 wedding anniversary. A search of possible restaurants for a celebration came up, amongst others, with Chez Jean. We went there to book 2 days before the planned dinner, and while booking, not only met one of the waitreses but also the chef. As my wife is vegetarian (and the... More

We got an outside table (and it was a night for heaters, so we appreciated that they had them, and that they were turned on). We enjoyed our meal - the service was good, the food well prepared and tasty. I really liked the Rigatoni with Goat Cheese, Sun Dried Tomato, Pine Nuts and Cream. The only issue, because the... We were heading for a TripAdvisor recommendation in the Parlement area - but it was closed. So we spotted where the locals ate, and we were not disappointed. Excellent lunch and good value for money.

Nice staff, good service. Hungry and looking for somewhere to eat on a busy Saturday night. Filled the bill adequately. Biggest and most delicious cream puff in the square. Nicely presented food. Nice table in bar area. Hit the spot nicely.
