Great wine selection and really nice people. Unfortunately they don't take reservations so you have to wait to be seated but its totally worth it.

I love this place always amazing service but this time (and yesterday) the staff weren’t amazing, young girl who was working as a student wasn’t rude but also want the friendly helpful staff we are used to. Have to say I commend the other staff...(guys) for being so attentive. Hard call as over the many years we have been here the service has been amazingMore
Bit of a queue to get in but well worth th patience of waiting. Beautiful room with lovely, friendly, helpful staff. Wine really reasonably priced. Lots of options but would recommend the rose choice. If having a snack with it go for the cheese plate....Too much of the meat too closely resembled the old chopped ham and pork out of a tin we used to have as kids.More
The wait line was quite imposing. We took the wait time to reserve some theater tickets. Suddenly our table was available and what a great surprise to taste the best wine we’ve had in a while for an amazing small price. The servers were very...well trained for a career in palaces . This is a school so chapeau to the good level they already have. Bread served with the tapas amazing. Environment was cozyMore
All the excellent reviews were correct……so good we went twice while staying in Bordeaux for a week A fabulous place to try some local wines while tasting a plate of Chacuterie Cheese or pate Great service, perfect way to while away a few hours
Yes you have to wait to be seated and yes staff are busy serving earlier arrivals BUT brilliant Brut sparkling to start followed by excellent Bordeaux white. Generous proportions, WIFI password Bordeaux (naturally). An oasis in the centre of town which welcomes all visitors whether...you’re staying at the Intercontinental across the road or like us in a B&B near St Jean Gare.More
Queued for 20 mins with no acknowledgement from the staff that you’re even there, I will say that it’s excellent value for money and the wines were delicious, the cheese was very bland and middle of the road and nothing special. Wines were great and...can’t fault the value for money as I said but the service was awful, inattentive, not unfriendly, just extremely good at avoiding eye contact and evading customers needs. No info given re wine or suggestions made, you’re basically just asked ‘what do you want’ and then they scurry off and you have the same battle all over again to get someone’s attention if you want to order another glass.More
The best kept secret in Bordeaux! Once again, delicious wines and small bites. How fortunate to try a HEALTHY pouring of Sauternes or other wines. Fantastic!
Classy & comfortable wine bar with very fair prices to drink a variety of Bordeaux to include Grand Cru. Well prepared & generously portioned plates to accompany your glass(es). The foie gras was incredible with a rustic almond bread. Helpful & friendly staff who do...not rush you along. We visited in April without a reservation, arrived around 2 pm, by 4 the queue outside was long. A must visit while in the beautiful city of Bordeaux. Enjoy & Santé!More
This is the perfect place to try out some Bordeaux wines by the glass. The selection is good, the prices are reasonable, and the cheese and meat plate are a perfect accompaniment.
Great location and really great atmosphere. We just had some wine, it you can get some small plate food to go with it. The wines change frequently, our somelier said it can change every few days. But they are excellent and very reasonably priced. Local...wine makers are really proud to get their wines served here. We actually went twice in our 4 night stay, it was closed for 2 of the days of our stay!More
We had just finish a Medoc wine tour when our lively guide Justine said we should try this place out. It brings all the local wines of the region together into a very amazing affordable bar! Prices start from€2 a glass and to say they...are large glasses is an understatement!More
We revisited this bar with 2 couples and the wines were as good as ever with the sharing p,ages- either cheese or meats fantastic value. I cannot recommend this highly enough.
This is a must-stop if you are in Bordeaux. The queue can be long but it moves fairly quickly and is well worth the wait! High quality wines are available for selection with accompanying nibbles and food options. Top selections of white, rose, red and...sparkling. We came here on both Friday and back again on Saturday because it was such good value and such a relaxed atmosphere.More
We were suggested to visit this place by our Walking Tour Guide. It was a nice little surprise. The place is simple, with nice stained glass windows. The staff is friendly and helpful, if you need guidance for the type of wine and the dishes...to go with it. The prices are very reasonable. Enjoy.More
